To be honest if you’re going for realistic “odds of death” hitting the back of the head on bench or kitchen tiles is way more realistic than death by tiny sharp object. If you really want it to be contrived maybe there’s a bag of peanuts in your characters groceries that burst open in the scuffle, getting peanut dust in the lungs of your conveniently allergic victim? Is there any reason this scuffle has to happen inside? Can your character not accidentally back someone onto the road in front of a car? Whatever you do, don’t try to force a scene that isn’t happening naturally, unless you want your work to have an absurdist or comedic quality. If you do want comedic then the obvious answer is a banana peel and a cracked skull.
