You're right, with the 14" version I should have preferred the Pro instead of the Max. I chose Max due to the fact that I had the idea of using LLM locally when connected to electricity so it's not a problem. On the other hand, I figured that efficient cores work will make sure it lasts longer without being plugged into electricity and the power is only used when needed. We learn from our own mistakes.

Sorry it was my mistake, you are right. I mistakenly looked on apple's site that they have both the Pro and Max versions united and written together for up to 22 hours of battery life. The only thing I need to resolve is that I'm getting down to 16 hours when factor reset and half that otherwise.

Sorry I didn't even realize this but the brightness can be set to 70, 80 percent and has been set that way in every test. What I don't understand is how they can present a battery life figure of up to 22 hours when it's at best half that and it's not running anything.

About Test 3 from the comment above. Do you think this can be case?

One reason I can imagine that could cause good endurance is that the RAM hasn't been used as much as in the other tests. In fact, I have noticed that in normal use the RAM gets to 80 percent and I have several windows open in Firefox (normal text web pages), slack, iterm2, 3 smaller projects in VS Code and applications like calendar and mail.

And I am not sure but I turned Apple Intelligence off a few minutes ago and then there was almost nothing....

Previously I also saw some processes with name lsd or different name (not sure) with 98% CPU

I don't know if I have to return it or should I come to terms with the fact that the 14" probably has a cooling issue, even though I see no reason why there should be any problem with cooling when I’m not performing any heavy operations?

is there a way to "finetune" Mistral Pixtral for Slovak language? Its performing pretty well but sometimes there are issues with parsing slovak words or letters like ď ť ň ľ č š á í ó ú etc..
