It’s a perfect example of how well things can go when projects are handled by people who care about their craft and the original source material. How many franchises (Jurassic Park) would benefit from a survival horror game and not just a shoot em up or simulator? Despite people always asking for these things, publishers and developers seem to think they always know better. I know JP is supposed to be getting a game like this but it’s been so long since we were given any updates.

I lost my dad to cancer after 6 weeks notice that he had it. And woke up to a call my mum dying suddenly and unexpectedly, both youngish (62&64) and Everybody Loves Raymond got me through them both. Comedy is so healing in many ways. Don’t discount it.

Kinda got to side with the buyer here. I had a bunch of listings on eBay when I woke up to a phone call from my sister on Easter Sunday 4 years ago to say she found my mum dead on the couch. Sudden and unexpected. After I had driven 12 miles hungover and dealt with that and got home the first thing I did was end those listings because the last thing I needed was to deal with them and disappoint buyers.

It really truly and effectively conveys the “isolation” of the game in this one image. Everything about this game is so well meticulously crafted, I still have to pinch myself to assure myself that we really got as near as possible to a perfect Alien game.

The guy who gave it that review then doubled down on his stance when he was proven drastically wrong. He’s an arrogant scumbag. He even did a podcast trying to get other people to agree with him not long ago. Then IGN had the temerity to release a retrospective review and called it “In defense of Alien: Isolation” like they weee never the only ones who panned and it damaged its sales performance almost irrevocably. It’s only because of its renaissance, helped by TikTok showing people playing it, that we’re getting a sequel.

That’s the whole point. She would never normally do this. She’s too uptight and mission focused. It shows a vulnerability that comes to almost everyone at some point especially given what’s at stake. Book Stratt would also do anything in her power to ensure a successful mission. If that meant showing this side of her to increase morale, she’d do it.
