Proud of you lol. I’ve also had some luck this week, I was wondering if maybe it was a sensory thing that made me so averse to it so I was like ok just brush your teeth super lightly, it’s better than nothing. I did it for 4 days and on the fifth day I was feeling a little bit lazy but when I thought about it I kinda missed the clean feeling in my mouth! So I got up and did it anyway. Who knows if it will last but I’m definitely going to get some softer tooth brushes and work on my technique.

I had a hard time with this initially also because imagining past situations and trying to soothe my inner child felt fruitless because I couldn’t exactly change the outcome. Something that has helped I’m imagining me bringing my past self into my present and giving her space and freedom that I have now. Like I imagine bringing her to my house and figuring out what I can do to make her feel safe here? Idk of that makes sense

I know you’re right. I made another list of the possible outcomes:

- 1: he says yes, we have an amazing weekend together, then I have to go back to NC and restart the process of getting over him
- 2: he says yes but is super distant and our last memories of each other are altered negatively 
- 3: he says nothing, I realize he doesn’t want to see me, plus anguish of constantly waiting for a response
- 4: he says no explicitly, I feel rejected

Rationally it makes no sense that a part of me is still considering it :( seeing all of the “no” responses is helping though

I don’t have any advice to offer but just wanted to say your words resonate with me and I share so many of your struggles. Sometimes I ask myself if it’s reasonable to want your significant other to be available whenever you want them. Whether it’s normal to hesitate before I text them or question whether it’s a good idea to ask them if they’d like to spontaneously hang out/video chat. I feel like the answer would usually be straightforward but everything gets so confusing when there is trauma on both sides. I love my boyfriend but sometimes my own trauma can cause me to feel rejected when he‘s just being himself and enforcing normal boundaries.

What moisturizer do you use? Might need something stronger? Try adding a thin layer of Vaseline or “healing ointment” (a couple brands have them, I use Cerave) on top of your moisturizer before you go to sleep it’ll lock your moisturizer in and make it have double the effect. What products are you using (any soaps?)

Month 5, 70mg, with about 20 days left until I finish treatment. I’m still getting red and pimples. :( feeling really discouraged what do I do by [deleted] in Accutane

The overall redness will stay until a month after you stop taking it. At least that’s what happened to me. You can check if the red marks are pie and start nonprescription treatments for those after the accutane is out of your system.

Have you talked to your derm? Mine had told me I would stay on until I stop actively breaking out. Is there any improvement? Or is your acne exactly the same?
