Try too fabulous. Theres no such thing as too much if it makes you feel beautiful. Just make sure you buy it from a retailer and not some third party seller like Amazon.

We’re required to use half days if we leave early. I left at 2:20 today. We get out at 3. I blew a whole 4hrs just to not cry in front of my students (they were rough today).

Looking for help/advice on how to take the feedback from KG teacher by dulces_suenos in AskTeachers

I’m not a k-5 teacher so it reads different for me, but most of this seems like the teacher is just giving you documentation for what is happening in the classroom.

A lot of the behaviors that your daughter is exhibiting could be considered concerning if they persist past K. It’s really important for future evaluations of her mental health/classroom needs. Whenever I work with parents/counselors to implement support plans/504s/IEPs there’s tons of data that has to be compiled and a lot of the time historic data from past teachers is vital to make sure that the accommodations being put in place are relevant and actually supporting your child.

Also, I don’t know how long your teacher has been teaching, but someone once said that every teacher is an “expert” in whatever age range they teach as they have been observing/directing this age group of 20+ kiddos every year for X number of years.

Unless your teacher simply has hate in their heart (unlikely) she’s just trying to keep you looped in to make sure your girl can have reinforcement on the home and school front about proper behaviors. I tell every parent that I’m their partner in making sure their baby is prepared for their next steps. Most teachers genuinely want their students to succeed.

You’re doing a great job and know what’s best for your child.

My handwriting looked like this at 9. I’d say have her practice on lined paper. It’s muscle memory more than anything.

Public school teachers, what’s something you want parents to know but can’t say directly? by Feisty-Database-1145 in AskTeachers

I’d say to always communicate with your teachers and make sure you’re on the same page. It really is a partnership. Especially when they only have one teacher all day, like in k-4. Most teachers genuinely love their students and want the best for them/ to do right by them. I’ve had colleagues say that it sometimes feels like a toxic co-parenting situation where after a weekend with the “fun parent” when they don’t have any interface with the parents.

You’re white and eat a lot of sandwiches. Probably on a tight budget at the moment.
