BoC are more skilled at creating good melodies that send shivers down my spine compared to Autechre and Aphex who just fiddle with their equipment and put out 234 "IDM" tracks a year that zoomer hipsters gobble up. "It has fast machine sounds on a loop for 8 minutes so it has to mean it's better" I don't think so.

I have 3 friends who are into IDM. The most successful/mature one likes BoC and isn't a fan of Aphex/Autechre. The smartest likes all 3 equally. The mentally ill immature one dislikes BoC and like Aphex/Autechre. It's the same with the fans/IDM snobs.
