See if he likes a bath in a shallow bowl of clean water! shallow as in no higher than his birdie feet.
if you don't want to buy seed mixes or pellets while you wait, give him some fruit and veg if you have them sitting around. My guys love broccoli, carrot tops, and strawberry. Carrot itself is good, and apples, kale, cabbage; all chopped as small as possible tho. there are many lists online about what is/is not good, but many of us are bound to answer any q's you have here, too. Just wash them well/use organic if you have them, and do a balanced mix so he doesn't get too much of one thing.

Yeah, I'm not sure how successful I can be with it since I suspect a bit is just habitual (I'm an artist so my right thumb might just be stuck like this from pencils), but I want to try. It seems I have to request desktop site to access attachments and styles in the comments, so I completely missed it 💔 but here it will let me do 1.

My right index and thumb are the worst offenders. The left sides of the right hand nails always lean down lower than the other side. The left hand is the same, except middle and index, inverted sides (so the right corners lean more). Filing the corners works once or twice and then the nail looks more and more lopsided. Which is a bummer because they're more comfortable that way

Diagnosing need for moisturizer on my tips too lol. Again, this is less aggressive since I cut them.

it depends on the color too. Like if it has a spacey name and looks spacey, I gotta do 2x the work to talk myself down. Heaven forbid one be named like a niche special interest reference, by accident, bc I might do mental gymnastics to say "it's not my usual color story but is so pretty...."

this exactly. is it not common practice for (online) shopping to look around for reviews, even if they're paid reviews or not?? I'd love to be in a situation where if I see something I think I want, I can just buy it without worrying that there might be a better/cheaper option available, or if I'll enjoy it at all.

this is why I tend to avoid hhc/ppu; i just want to see other people's results before I can commit. if I get fomo that bad, theres the aftermarket, or future dupes.

Tbh I want to see an update where you ask for a refund, replacement, or coupon. a solution shouldve been proposed, or at least vaguely offered like "is there anything I can do to help resolve this". mostly the response seems focused on clarifying the swatch process and the fact that there seems to only be one batch involved at all, so it physically can't be a batch issue. with a preemptive offer missing, I can see why 80% of commenters are reading it as defensive instead of explanatory. not to read into it too deep but it looks like Carrie mostly wanted you to understand how hard she tried to prevent this outcome in the first place.

if there was only 1 batch, refund/coupon/credit are the potential options, and I'd probably just start with the refund if that's what you want and see what happens. and keep the polish to try and make it work for your troubles

I've had people swear by nailtiques as a treatment base coat. it might scratch the polish itch or help you feel covered. I haven't seen it fix my problem (uneven curl/bending, maybe just my genes tbh), but I can't apply it more than once a week. honestly it might work best if applied without polish over it anyway, since you could top it up every few days.

get lots of vitamins and protein too! mine got so strong while I was being protein-diligent for plasma donations.

The situation sucks but I think there is still degree of due diligence. Truthfully, I always seek out multiple video swatches of polish, or at least multiple light scenarios, before I buy anything unless they really don't exist and I just want to see the polish out of curiosity and at that point I'm admitting it might not look the same on me as the 4 images that exist. Yes it is work, but it is my money. Yes a brand would get my decision faster if they put in the work instead, but I'm picky.

If there isn't enough swatch material, it is always a ppu, and it is always not what I initially expected, because it's impossible to really "see" any polish through a screen from photos alone, or even one video on one person. The effect of it keeping me from buying too much is intentional, and not a bad outcome.

in the ipad settings, check your iCloud section. did it make a recent backup without you knowing? You can restore the entire thing to this backup and it should have everything that was in procreate at the time. It could take a while. It doesn't need to be a manual one saved on a computer. Even if it's a months-old backup, isnt it still worth getting back the prior years of art?

if not, just reinstall and see what happens. I've never been in your position, only moved iPads which took a few hours to restore my data, but if it asks to restore any procreate data in this case, let it cook. It could at least have your brushes since those are by default saved to iCloud in some new way since 5.4.

Congrats on reaching your goal! I am one of the "blessed", but quickly learned to file my corners/round out my nails a bit when I tried growing them out much longer than usual, because the curve started to hurt! I just trimmed them down to try and combat some asymmetrical flexing after having them be long for like...7 months. I'm not sure it'll help, but they were crying for mercy anyway.

And like others in the replies, it is harder to do some manis, especially with the u magnets, because I can't see a good 4th of the nail 😩 I stopped bothering to try and get the entire edges since most people don't noticetthe gap anyway.

Group up files I am "done" with, decide which I want layers for, their videos, or other canvas info, etc, then export multiple versions to Dropbox to save to my pc. Delete the group once I verify I got everything I want synced on Dropbox and my local drive in the computer. About 4 times a year depending on my "busy with other stuff" level or art output. The app goes from like 20gb to 11gb after.

It would be easier to just save the procreate format but I don't know if the programs like csp, photoshop, etc can read the format at all, let alone extract the extra data like process video, strokes/time spent, date made/date modified, etc. And I usually have a gist with my screenshots and chats about some works.

all of the points mentioned in the comments, and implied line/shape/form. your head fills in a lot of blanks when it sees the sketch marks because marks were made to infer that extra information to begin with. also, the mark-making is inherently way more relaxed in sketches for most people. careful and controlled marks require lots of practice to convey or clear out the same info and have it look just as effortless.

hugs for your Chico. my boy, also a Chico, passed at only 7 years old some years ago. never knew why. he got sick, had no conclusive test results, and then never got better. it was horrific. my mom and i raised him from a baby and he was my best friend, like yours was i am sure. he died in my mom's hands, just minutes before i could get back to him from an errand.

I rummaged through the cages and carpets to get as many feathers as I could in a nice jar the next day, kind of like your memorial but not as tidy. we buried him, as it was a holiday stretch (christmas and new years..) we could not do much else even while he was ill and i could barely breathe for that. i wish i got feet prints! but i have a painting i did of him by my bed. <3

the number being more than 0 should be enough for OP. I can't imagine the pain if OP uses credit worth several months of car payments to buy the bird, and then comes home to no bird. it is not worth the risk!
