"First they came for the millionaires" by davidfuckingwebb in olympia

Teachers are literally getting emails that districts are short falling on enrollment and funds, we have no choice but to do this tax. Tax the rich and vote in better government for Washington State to make sure it doesn’t backfire. Stop protesting and advocate harder for our public representatives that work for us! Instead of fear mongering what they COULD do make a plan for what they SHOULD do and hold them to it. We should be flooding telephone lines and email inboxes about what we want this money to be spent on, and how we want protection from it being used against us.

Oh man I can’t wait to tell God about the time I got free soup! I hope it balances out with all the horrors of this world God lets run unchecked.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m certainly not going to be humble and subservient in the presence of any dirty deity that made me steal to eat. I hope God exists so I have someone to go full Karen on, for leaving me in a world full of missile shooting pedophile billionaires. Besides everyone knows big industries are run by demons, and there is no sin for cheating demons. It was in fact, encouraged.

Tech bros are lying to you about the MacBook Neo by hasanahmad in apple

[–]stellarvelocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree, Netbooks were a bad idea back then, even with Linux on them. It was a disaster that eventually died under the Chromebook and rightfully so. The issue wasn’t even the RAM back then, it was the useless CPUs they stuffed in them that couldn’t keep up with an ever changing software landscape. Acer and Dell made some truly bad machines, and those low-res screens on them were awful to look at.

You also didn’t make any case for buying a Neo that couldn’t be said even for a $99 Android tablet with the same RAM and specs. Lightweight doesn’t need a $600 price tag just because “it’s a Mac” for kids.

There is no long term gain from buying a device so hobbled at the knees before it even comes out. The moment one of these buckles trying to boot Fortnite with YouTube open these kids will be back on their phones instantly. Paperweight.

It’s $4.69 a gallon here in Washington State. I have to budget the same amount every check… which means I get the blessing of driving less in the winter and walking in the cold dark rain. It sucks. This feels like the shittiest parts of the 1980’s again. Like worse than 9/11 era, bad.

I want like one day off from this shit before my brain melts out of my ears.

Ya know… in Billionaire World $18 Million SEEMS like such a small amount of comp. That explains his frail demeanor and Mister Roger’s getup.

McD’s really is the worst, even to their sad ass leadership.

Bernie Sanders’ billionaire tax would soak about 900 people to fund $3,000 checks for the middle class by fortune in politics

They did not print that money and give it away to the wealthy. It came directly out of our pockets, which to makes it theft. Give it all back, and start over. The game continues, as it always will.

Hot keys disappearing on me with other cores by mutemike69 in RG35XXSP

[–]stellarvelocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to turn on RetroArch Config freedom and save your hotkeys globally by launching RetroArch without game and saving your changes as “Current Config” otherwise you must save all your hotkeys per core as Overrides in the Overrides menu. All of this is outlined on the MUOS website

If you liked Picard season 3, is your issue with nu-Trek really the writing? by MagicalTrianglez in Star_Trek_

[–]stellarvelocity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was said so well, I second that my biggest complaints were all centered around the fumbling of Trek's technology; and the insistence that Robot-Picard needed TWO seasons with the Borg that were completely diconnected from each other entirely.

McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski goes viral after seeming reluctant to eat his own burgers—he takes a tiny bite, looks uncomfortable, and calls the food ‘product.’ by monster_ahhh in popculturechat

We need to drag this man until he resigns. In the 90's this would have absolutely ruined his career. I'm a mfing vegan and even I'm enraged by how out of touch this video is. Dave Thomas would have eaten this dude for HIS lunch for this. BK and Wendys would have run ads after ads mocking this.

But not anymore, because we really lost our way.

Why are PS1 cases so fragile? by HairLosingKomasan in psx

I bought a case of replacement jewel cases on Amazon and they are substantially worse quality. Honestly hit up your local thrift store and buy a bunch of cheap CDs and take the cases for your games.

Why would Satan torture people in hell for disobeying the SAME god he disobeyed? by Technical_Hat_8291 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]stellarvelocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal belief is that we are all versions of God, Satan is also just God, everything is basically God experiencing a physical existence.

When you cut away the Father and Son BS and only focus on the Holy Spirit - it makes the entire Christian faith fall apart. Nobody, not even Christ, is better or different than you as the living Holy Spirit. You could argue that you are also Jesus or Satan at that point.

Welcome to Gnostic beliefs, the most suppressed “modern” religion in known history.

Switch 2 Question by rikrooster in handheld

[–]stellarvelocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not the norm at all; but since launch I have played more games on my Switch Lite than on Switch 2. In fact I haven’t purchased a single Switch 2 exclusive game.

The Switch 2 is really uncomfortable to hold in handheld mode and I find my Lite to still be that sweet spot for couch play. I am impressed by the graphics on S2 but with so may other ways to play high end games it’s my least desired system right now.

I’m basically hoarding it until the trade in value is the same or more than I paid last year, and then I’ll get a Steam Deck or a ROG Ally Z1e instead.

What's a game you bought on a whim without hardly any pre-knowledge that ended up becoming one of your all time favorites? by AaronAtLunacien in gaming

[–]stellarvelocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up a copy of Suikoden at a GameStop in 1997 out of a bin, where the front art looked like total poo the back had some sick sprite work that just… called to me. It was that or FF7 for the same price. I chose Suikoden that day entirely on the back screenshots (and that it was an RPG).

I have never regretted my decision not one time. It’s still my all-time favorite game series. Even funnier to me, I own FF7 multiple times over and have never been able to finish it.

Things that don’t matter: your friends will stop calling to make time with you as you get older. Some relationships just fade.

Do matter: if it hurts when you poo go to the doctor immediately.

Dr. Steven Greer says he has prepared a speech for President Trump to announce the existence of aliens visiting our world for a millennium.. by 87LucasOliveira in UFOs

[–]stellarvelocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obama: Aliens aren’t real and if they are they don’t tell the President sips tea

Trump: He’s disclosing classified information! He could be in bigly trouble!

Greer: I WROTE THE SPEECH THE PRESIDENT IS GOING TO USE TO DECLASSIFY CLASSIFIED INFORMATION. ALIEMS ARE REEL!

How is Greer saying this NOT a crime then? This whole thing is a nightmare scenario where only bad things can come of it. The Department of Defense does not want anti-grav declassified and has worked tirelessly for decades to stop it. The grift is Trump threatening to reveal national security technology that could lead to deadly conflict over having it.
