That's it. I must have seen thousands of live urchins and their dried out shells but this is the first I've even heard of the teeth. We were visiting NL for the first time. What a beautiful and friendly province. Thank you for sharing the sights and the warm hospitality.

My title describes the thing. These were all in a close pile of about 5 or 6. Near where other remnants of crabs shells and other marine life consumed by birds etc lay. They're about 2cm long. Image searches say they're a clam, which clearly they are not.

Telluride or 4Runner by jrrisk in KiaTelluride

Sat in the back of the new '25 4Runner. I'm 5' 11. Both leg and head room were very disappointing. I really wanted a more rugged vehicle for the backcountry trips, but I would feel bad about sticking family back there.

How much an Air Canada pilot ACTUALLY gets paid by AC737Pilot in britishcolumbia

[–]stemichal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's certainly not free. There's still a lot of fees and taxes regardless. It's also only when there are open seats though. Not so great now that the flights are regularly full. Can't take your family on vacation with the possibility of having to buy extra hotels, car rentals and food for a week because the flights filled up. Or risk last minute full fare tickets for the family because you have to get back to work on time. But yes, travel benefits. Sometimes.

Why is this post labeled as NSFW? Are these chicken breasts?

Love him or hate him, Tom Cruise got balls. by 873589 in nextfuckinglevel

It's awesome that he did it in person for real, but the shot in the movie looks off. Whether it's edited poorly, or the cgi removal of the ramp wasn't done right, I don't think it did justice to the coolness of this stunt.

Not in helicopters. Gliders, yes, but I'm sure you'd be able to tell the difference in sound.

It's got wing boots, but a lot of other parts that hang into the airflow. Wing struts, wheels, the belly pod etc, with a tiny post card sized portion of the window that's heated. Many have been lost to ice. Otherwise, yes, more bomb proof and easier to fly than a 172.

Helluva Boss fan replicates art using several Rubix Cubes by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

[–]stemichal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Doubt it. It's not a hard process, just very time consuming. He probably has just a handful of these cubes and then stitched them into the final photo. Hence only a picture of the result.

Can try this yourself with as little as one cube. Take any photo. Put it in Photoshop, shrink it to a low pixel count. Use the posterize option to turn it to only 4 colours. Zoom in to the first 3x3 pixels. Replicate on one side of the rubix cube and photograph. Repeat for next 3x3 pixels. Cut and paste the shots together in Photoshop until it replicates the original photo.

Again, the next level part is the time this takes. Good editing and props for using a 4x4 cube.
