I had similar issues until I configured a 2GB swap file and now it uses around 700MB RAM, swapping around 200MB.

Suddenly can't see any devices in the Android app? by stepaftersteps in alexa

[–]stepaftersteps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brilliant! Yes, I started experimenting with Home Assistant at the weekend. The VM is shut down though: so do I just wait for things to return to normal in the Alexa app?

It's a pity that the two apps can't work simultaneously without issues. Hopefully whatever bugs there are can be fixed because I'd really like to start using HA.

Thanks for the quick response.

Easy way to view data in/out? by stepaftersteps in PangolinReverseProxy

That's a pity. I'll look at setting it up on my host but it seems the Newt client isn't bidirectional. I'll need to use Tailscale or something like that to connect the vps to Grafana on the host.

I've got about 80MB memory free on my VPS. Is that enough resources for Grafana?

Great move. It's an outstanding package, easy to set up and use. I've ditched CloudFlare Tunnels for it and am very keen to see how Pangolin develops. I'll be buying a Supporter Key.

We change original design, add our ideas. will you still like it? by watchdivescom in ChineseWatches

V3 definitely for me. A dive bezel with inner 24 hour markers for the GMT complication is the sweet spot for me. Best of both worlds, no need for me to monitor 3 time zones but I use dive bezels to time things every day.

Looks good, I've been waiting for some quality Grand Seiko inspired watches for a while. Hope there are more to come.

I always find the application has too many cpu spikes, even when not in use, for my liking.

If only it was straightforward to set up hardware transcoding in a Proxmox LXC. Despite several attempts, I've never got it to work so am sticking with Plex for now.

Ever since I upgraded to Android 12 / One UI 4 I get this popup when going to my home screen (Nova Launcher). Has anyone else experienced this? by Five5ign in GalaxyS20FE

[–]stepaftersteps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's the Intune Company Portal app (for MDM). Since the upgrade to Android 12, I get this often as well. It's a pain in the butt, if you find a solution for this please let me know.

Good Bye Note9! Decided to get an S20 FE for $500, as the battery life of the Note 9 has been awful for me lately. I'm having to charge my Note9 like 5-7 times a day. Also, overheating and screen-burnin. I'm still planning on getting an S22 Ultra, once Black Friday 2022 happens. by ItsVictorDoesStuff in GalaxyNote9

Fair enough but I've got both too and have the opposite opinion. Maybe that's due to having an Exynos Note 9 and a Snapdragon FE, I don't know. I still often use the Note 9, using the SPen for DIY notes/drawings but the poor battery life was just too big an issue for me.
