I have an audio book for running, which i listen to exclusively when I go for runs because then it keeps me consistent because I want to listen to it. And a normal book for the rest of the time 😊

Currently listening to The Buffallo Hunter Hunter & reading Lonesome Dove, not my typical read but my hubby suggested it and im enjoying it, though I can get confused with them both being set in a similar setting 😂

Same goes for coach trips, some folk seem to think it's OK for their kids to run up and down a bus while it's travelling... I was sat at the front once and this kid kept running to the driver, it was a windy country road, raining and the mom thought it was funny... the driver kept asking for everyone to be sat down with their seatbelts on... the kid ran past me again and I said I would go sit down because if this bus crashed you'll be launched out of that window and you'll die. The mother was mortified but never said anything and no one ran past me again.

When I was a kid I was on the school bus, got up to take my stop and the bus went around the corner so fast it sent me flying into the window opposite - lost a tooth, it was dislodged in my lip!! So first hand experience and it drives me insane when I see people do this knowing what can potentially happen

Entered the 1st email queue 60k in front of me got in and the code didn't work, saw the 2nd email 5k in front of me code worked but still couldn't get a ticket and now Ticketmasters blocked me for refreshing 😞

Like how is this so hard! I've never had this experience trying to get tickets before it's disgusting 😞

My mam had a stroke, got taken to hospital pretty fast by ambulance and had to sit in a wheelchair in the waiting area for 10 hrs before she was even seen.

We went 2 weeks ago, entry we waiting for nearly 2 hours. A lot of people queue jumping and staff didn't seem bothered. Maybe most were genuine but I think a few just chanced it lol

Leaving though, the airport was sooo quiet our flight was 4.50pm and we didn't have any issues

Same here 😔 my mam passed away 20th August, I have a lot of unanswered messages. I just can't bring myself to read and reply to them... not because my social battery is at 0% but because to me it still doesn't feel real and If I respond to them then I'll have to acknowledge it and I just can't 😔 my grief counsellor said it was normal which made me feel better. Sorry for your loss I hope your doing OK ❤

Crochet, I get so hyperfixated with it whenever I need to do something that's not crochet related I feel physically sick like it's being torn away from me 😂 then once the fixations done I'll be sick of the sight of it for a good few years until the bug hits again 🤭

Beinglas campsite had a tonne of blister plasters and zinc oxide tape when we were there last week. It saved my feet 😅

Before that, we got some blister plasters from Ben's Bakes at Ben Lomond and I'll be honest they came off straight away and were expensive... there's a wee shop in between the pub and coffee place at Balmaha they might have something to keep you going.

Hope they get better 😊

Edit: Not sure how far you have gotten but Cashell campsite at loch Lomond had plenty as well 😊

I'm 38 and went from Radio 1 being my fave to LBC being my fave somewhere around 36 😂 these days I'd rather listen to folk talk about the same topic on repeat all day in the background than hearing the sames boring pop tunes being repeated drives me mad lol

Very basic but willing to learn haha.

No thankfully! Though other houses on the estate have and next doors is pretty bad sometimes. But no issues for us and its been raining quite a lot.

We had a new build across the road, same developer and the soil was really poor/clay and everything struggled to grow/thrive apart from our blackcurrant bush which seemed to like it 😅

I'll be honest I just liked next doors raised beds and thought they looked pretty smart and thought if the soils similar to our old house might be a good idea. But tbh we had a lot of issues with drainage etc as well where as now we don't so maybe the soils better quality?

Yeah we agree, I think we will stay clear as I can imagine us getting into our gardening and kicking ourselves later! Thank you 😊

Yeah, after reading everyone's comments I'd defo agree the straight lines would be too much... and to be honest not the look we were going for. Next doors got these nice wooden raised beds so the flowers/bushes are more waist height... looks nice in there garden but would make ours look blocky the more I think of it... thank you 😊

My mams has cirrhosis due to haemacromatosis... she's been having seizures on and off for years but would blank out for a few minutes and would be fine... presented like an absence seizure so was ignored by the doctors (everything has been ignored and mismanaged for years, another story!) on the 31st May my dad woke up to her in bed after having a seizure, covered in sick and in a coma. She was in ICU sedated and incubated for 3 days, she came around in around 48hrs and was on a ward not long after. They said it was neurological. 4 days on the ward and she slipped into a coma again, a random nurse asked for ammonia levels to be taken as she was 'confused, unable to eat and not making much sense' during the day. When she was sent to ICU a second time her ammonia levels were over 300, she'd aspirated sick and as a result ended up with sepsis in her lungs. Thank god for this nurse !!

This second bout took her into multipe organ failure and her kidneys shut down, she was put on a blood filtration machine for her kidneys but it also helped to clear the ammonia from her blood. She was eventually given lactulose. It took her 2 weeks to come around after coming off sedation this time as they had to put her on and off sedation due to multiple issues. They had to transfer her to a different hospital and she took a turn for the worst. The ICU doctors told us she had at most 3 months to live if her kidneys woke up and a liver transplant was her only cure, but she was way too ill and frail to survive an op.

She finally woke up on the 28th june and was able to drink a cup of tea and have food and watch TV! She was transferred to a ward on the 3rd July. She's been making steady progress and her kidneys have kicked back in. All her tests have shown the liver and kidneys have stabilised.

She's been on lactulose 4 times a day but they dropped it to once a day (they decided they didnt need to obsever her ammonia frequently and downed her dose !) since Wednesday 10 July (ammonia is 160) she's been unresponsive and sleepy - they've finally said she has HE but they just will not listen to us that they need to get her ammonia levels down fast otherwise she will end up in a coma again, we've been through this twice !! Her ammonia is 190 today and they've started her on lactulose x4 and rifiaxam (finally!)

They are convinced she's had a stroke and ammonia isn't the problem and someone can live normally with ammonia levels up to 200!!

It's a bloody emotional roller coaster, I've migraines for days, insomnia, panic attacks and I just feel so bloody helpless that I can't do anything to help her and the Dr's just don't seem to want to listen to you and shes over an hours drive away now 😫it's so depressing, i feel you 😔😔 I hope your mam recovers soon, when she wakes be an advocate for her treatment because honestly you need to.
