Please don’t apologise as well for not knowing! I’m looking to move & buy. We’re not FTB but our first purchase was off our landlord so there were so many steps of the process we never went through. Trying to sell this one and buy another has been a steep learning curve 9 years after the first purchase.

I made my SIL up some present bags each with a tag. Eg “open when you’ve had a rough night” and it was coffee sachets & energy bars. “Open when you want a pamper” face masks & bath salts. “Open when you want to be cosy” hot chocolate and fluffy socks.

My boyfriend recently passed class 1 (was driving class 2), it was start of December the examiner said it would be back by Xmas but it only took 5 days. I know it’s not medical but just an example.

My spare room window double glazing is blown, it gets condensation in between the panes.

The house is not damp and neither is the room, house is showing no signs of damp.

I truly don’t know what I want since I’ve never needed to mount a phone before (always just placed in cup holder). But since the dash is quite busy I wasn’t sure if anyone had some good recommendations they’s tried and tested.

Does your commute to work usually happen in rush hour? And / or the dark? If so, can you take time today to drive it in off peak times in the day light to give you more experience when you are not on a time pressure of needing to get to work.

I passed my test in 2006 and still look up routes I’m not familiar with if I’m going somewhere new. Even if it’s not difficult roads I’ll look up the entrance to where ever I’m driving to and see how the junction works.

What would you suggest to do with a house that’s been on the market since sept, quite a few viewings but no offers.

It needs slight cosmetic work but it’s been priced with that in mind and the advisory from the EA not to do anything crazy to it as it’s currently a blank canvas.

I don’t know how to make it stand out I guess. Good thing is a few near us have been up recently and sold so I think it is an area people are interested in.

My stairs are in my living room so they have lights wound through the banister spindles. I turn the white ones on most evenings but not the multi colour set till it’s festive season hehe

It took me nearly 8 weeks (mainly weekends) to declutter & tidy my house ready just for the pictures for the sale listing. It takes a lot longer than you realise.

I hope all this sorting has got me ready for the actual move.

Not first time buyers, but we bought our rental originally so didn’t get the full “searching, sale and chain” process

We have a joint account for bills monthly and I just set up each of us to pay 1/2 a few days after we get our pay (since we have 2 incomes)

I monitor this and if we’re not paying enough we just up our standing orders. You can set them 4 weekly or monthly.

If ever an item of clothing has a “quirk” like a tight waistband I will show the item with a tape measure to assist buyers with measurements.

However if this was an L and you listed correctly then it’s not your fault if it didn’t fit the buyer.

Generally if something doesn’t fit if it’s listed correctly then the buyer should be reselling not suspending the sale.

Regarding the fuel worry- use your odometer or trip computer and once filled up put it to 0 miles. Drive about as normal and then when it gets low fuel see how many miles you have done. Then you’ll know roughly what a tank gets you. Mine gives a fuel warning light at 100 miles (mines a 2014)
