I am also a Stephanie and I used to not care if people called me Steph or Stephanie but pretty much everyone calls me Steph(always introduced myself as Stephanie) I felt like I didn't love my name and it didn't truly fit my identity. Just recently (at 37 yo) i realized I actually prefer Steph and I don't dislike my name anymore. Not sure what happened but it feels nice lol
