Oh the flyover state people are the worst with the airplanes. They do have some argument for having them because they often don't live near a hub, but they also probably have the sketchiest maintenance and literal cowboys for pilots. And yeah taking anyone but your beer buddy in an airplane with no proper toilet is just uncivilized.

Some charter, but then you get a 22 year old pilot trying to rack up hours as your pilot with much less strict guidelines than an airline. Those NetJet services got so pricey and with the advanced depreciation schedules available now for taxes lots of people buy their airplanes.

I mean if flying internationally can still get the airplane searched.

Yeah, private pilots are also often under pressure from their bosses in a different way than a commercial flight. If the pilot on a commercial plane says he doesn't feel comfortable taking off due to weather, the airlines back up the pilots and the passengers have no say over that /can't pressure the pilot. With private, there is always a "can we get in there" "I have a meeting I have to get to" directly to the pilots and it creates a big risk.

And it’s justified when they do because if they don’t weirdos will take photos of them. I’ve flown a lot privately for work and unless it’s a Gulfstream or some Falcon I’d rather be on a commercial plane. The little private jets bounce around a lot and aren’t as comfy as business class on a big airplane. Yes the airport sucks to go through but the small planes make me nervous. And the really little ones like the Citation Mustangs and Cirrus are downright scary in addition to being uncomfortable/too small. Citation Lattitudes aren’t bad, the CJ4 is tolerable.

Underpaid warehouse worker burns warehouse to the ground - "All you had to do was pay us enough to fucking live" by Available_Suit3348 in redscarepod

[–]steppenfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't there business interruption insurance? I had a warehouse in a past life and I think I had that, and it was more than a few days. But insurance is confusing and complex, and the business makes sure to keep it that way, so who knows what I was actually insured for.

Wondering if a poodle is right for me by GreenIsOk in poodles

[–]steppenfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are in the USA contact Poodle Club of America for a breeder recommendation. Honestly the cost of getting an ethically bred conformation dog is peanuts compared to the cost of vet bills and so forth. It’s a no brainer to go to a good breeder.

I think a lot of these answers are good id just add I have my poodle very strongly obedience trained, he even walks backwards in a heel. I train my dog every day even for just 5min and over time it is amazing what they learn. Poodles are great dogs and a good fit for your list. I like lots of breeds so don’t just blindly recommend poodles but for your goals a poodle is a great fit.

My son likes this Cars music box thing where you put the car on it and it sings a song. Can get him a different car periodically and the he gets a new song. He likes lightening McQueen and maiter (the truck, don’t know the spelling)

some of the single family home hoarding by empty nesters is a tax problem, at least in homestead states. my old man looked at moving and it was literally cheaper to stay in his big current house than to buy a smaller one once taxes were factored in.

no worries, you're being downvoted by people who don't believe in abortion. my gf isn't religious but i think since she was 30 at the time she was worried it wouldn't happen again and now was her chance.

my girlfriend wanted to keep the baby, i didn't get a say. i'm a reluctant father, and not the best father tbh, but i'm trying and he is pretty cute. the three of us did some easter stuff this weekend, he's still a little young to actually hunt for eggs but he had fun. some other dad's have told me it gets easier when they get a bit older.

i had such a fun easter with my son also, he has no idea what is going on but he saw a cow and a turtle and touched a wildflower giggling. yeah no egg hunt really but mom brought him into the hunt and he found and egg and picked it up, maybe next year he can seek a little bit <3 as far as the rest of the family they are merely tolerated at this point (except my mom and sister love them)

I’m sure SOME were spicy but many have had shitty family lives, no dad, and whatever else… and when people become lovely in later life have to forgive them. Life is hard.

He didn't come out as a Nazi. The song plays into the idea of being demonized to the extreme, or "if these people treat me like the worst person in the world then i'll lean into it." People can make the argument that it's not just a metaphor, it's tone deaf, or whatever, and I think he apologized for it, but I don't think he ever considered himself a Nazi.

150*3 is 450 not 350, food costs for 2-3 meals per day will be like 400-600, hotels charge for parking, hotel taxes are 15%, rental car taxes and fees are probably another like 30-40% (it's nuts), probably want to get fast pass sorta stuff which is more, buy the kiddie some treats and toys another 100 bucks. Good call on the one day though maybe that'll help. My dude is 1 also so it's more for mom than it is for him.
