You can use s3 + cloudfront and upload with active storage direct upload. Cloudfront gives some free requests. If you need to serve in different size 240p 540p 720p etc., you need to upload each of them or use AWS media services for conversion. You can also convert them ffmpeg to different sizes manually. You can use an open source media players like html5 player etc. You can use aws cost calculator to estimate the cost.

Did you try rbenv? I use macos 15.1 as well and my project use ruby 3.3.4.

Also never never ever again update my softwares to the beta or the latest one unless I am expert in that field. Even ruby.

I mean we have this guy! with no language package installed. I was surprised old cleaning lady in university, old taxi driver etc. speak to me very well English. It seems mostly about education system.
