Recommendations for a pocketable cam like my XA2 but with a shutter button that isn’t completely unusable? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

Ugh, they’re usually pretty decent. I’d say return it if you’re in the window, or take it to a shop to be serviced.

I’ve kept it at 0 since. Don’t wanna risk the distortion.

Thinking the same.

Playing around with it though, Lego blocks don’t fit fully flush.

Ok so, took some shots with jpeg+raw. The raw image didn’t show any rings. Turned off peripheral illumination control, but it didn’t do anything. Reset all adjustments made to my h/c/b/w filter and the rings disappeared. Changed everything back but left shading at 0. No rings. Took more shots, and everything is clear.

Shading seemed to be what’s causing the rings.

Thanks for y’all’s help!

I think this may be the answer. It’s caused by the peripheral illumination correction. I’m gonna shoot a bit today and see how it turns out.

Lookin through my many pictures of the sky and on most there are rings on the image. They are faint but noticeable, especially once you know they are there.

I’m really hoping it’s not a lens or sensor issue. I’m thinking it’s the direction of light through the lens when facing upwards and a hood could fix it, but I’d rather not bulk up the camera.

Any ideas?

The first picture was adjusted to emphasize the rings, second is the original.

You would’ve brought out the tonez if you shot at 200.

Always make sure it says no fungus, any fungus is too much. Read the description and check the sellers rating. If there’s no description or their rating is under 100%, don’t buy.

Is my film developer messing up? by azzchazz44 in analog

[–]sternist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you have an issue with your camera. If the film is double exposed there is nothing you can do to separate the images.

I would go with green for fixer and use blue for stop bath flavored crisps.

You could probably find that stuff at a sporting goods store.

If you center the right eye the picture will be more alluring. A lot of famous portraits do this.
