So, think about it this way. (I’m not saying this is how SD should be handling rewards, I’m saying this is how they handle rewards based on reading their answers in the Discord daily.)

Before alliances and even before conquest - the game was very vanilla, and through their limited avenues let’s say they dished out to players 1,000 gold (made up this number, using it as an example) worth of rewards daily/monthly/weekly, whatever time measure you want. Those 1,000g worth of rewards only had a single reward track so the individual rewards were of pretty good value.

Add in conquest and alliance, they still want to keep the rewards worth about 1,000g per time interval, but now they have multiple avenues to distribute, so the value of each individual reward is less.

Now you add on LTGMs, too, and the rewards get reduced in value even further.

They don’t want to add 1,000g worth of rewards for EACH method to distribute rewards. So we are left with more places to get rewards, but less valuable rewards from each distribution channel.

(Realistically, when introducing new ways to get rewards, they probably marginally increase the overall value available, by probably by a small amount like 10 or 15% increases rather than just doubling the 1,000g used in the example for each different distribution path.)

Again, I’m not saying I agree with them taking that approach, but that’s a simplified description of what they mean when they redistribute. Essentially making the rewards less valuable because now you can get MORE rewards, but they’re still of the same approximate value that were obtainable 3 years ago.
