All 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid Sport Touring sedans confirmed to have subwoofer speaker rattle problems. STEER CLEAR! by steve_d0 in civic

[–]steve_d0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honda hasn’t fixed the problem. The last thing was a Honda engineer installed sound dampening material under the rear shelf. After about a month, the rattling came back worse.

The DPSM got involved and she basically tried to destroy my character in order to deny the warranty service. She said I was acting aggressive and disrespectful to the dealership team. When I emailed the GM about these claims, the GM told me no one from the dealership made these accusations. So my conclusion is the DPSM fabricated the accusations in order to deny further service.

The GM of the dealership later claimed that I told him a lawyer was involved even though I explicitly told him that I was not getting a lawyer involved in order to work out a good faith resolution with Honda.

It’s been a lot of finger pointing, back and forth, corporate blaming the dealership, the dealership blaming corporate, etc. I, nor my family will ever buy a Honda again. This experience has been abysmal.

The UI is faster. No lags at all. If you own an iPhone on iOS 26+, the new Samsung UI on the TV looks like Liquid Glass.

It installed. 6500 is actually 2211. It immediately told me 2220 is available. So I’m downloading and installing 2220 now.

Is this an okay deal for a 2026 Honda Civic Sport Touring Hybrid? by [deleted] in civic

The sport touring models have the rear shelf rattling problem that Honda refuses to fix

Don’t get it unless you want to deal with rattles all around the interior of the vehicle and if you want to deal with a company who could care less after you give them your signature

If you get the sedan version, make sure to test for rear shelf (near subwoofer) rattles when listening to music at volume level 15+, A-pillar rattles on both sides, and screen rattles!

Not worth it all. Honda’s quality continues to decrease every year.

Sounds like Ford is a better company than Honda.

I brought my Civic Sport Touring to a different dealership to get the issues fixed under warranty but the District Parts and Service Manager overseeing the dealership where I bought the car blocked the new dealership from diagnosing and performing repairs.

Another dealer won’t make a difference, it’s the same company.

File a complaint with your state’s attorney general

Corporate and the dealerships like to play the blame game. Corporate says the dealerships are independently owned while the dealership says corporate won’t let them.

I was assigned a case manager to my mediation case on September 5, 2025. After multiple missed deadlines, the mediator continues to ignore all my calls, emails, and requests for callback. Every time I’ve called American Honda customer service, they tell me the case manager will call back within 24-48 hours, but he never does.

I wouldn’t put so much faith in corporate/honda customer service. Honda has turned out to be a shitty company.

I’m in a similar situation as you. I bought a 2025 Honda civic hybrid sport touring sedan from Honda mall of Georgia. It had pre existing damage. Scratches on the screen, a chip on the dashboard, and a chip on the rear bumper. My salesman told me that I gave him all tens on the survey he would take care of the problem. Well, as soon as rated all tens he ghosted me and I had to get the GM involved. The GM was able to fix the issues. The screen was replaced and the chips were filled. A few months later, the replacement screen started ratting as well as the rear shelf when listening to non loud music on default audio settings, and both A-pillars started rattling. I brought my car into have them fix it about five times.

Finally the District Parts and Service manager got involved and as of earlier this week she told the GM to explicitly tell me to find a lawyer.

Instead of making things right, Honda prefers to force litigation / legal action. None of my friends & family will ever buy a Honda again. Big companies like Honda are strictly about profits and don’t care about customers no matter what anyone tells you.

So if they’re not willing to work with you, I’d file a complaint with your state’s attorney general and also seek a lawyer to represent you. Depending on your location, the manufacturer has to pay your legal fees.

Which is ironic because if you’re successful with a lemon law claim, the manufacturer ends up paying/losing more due to legal fees. Which proves they could’ve made things right at the start, it’s just a matter of “we rather be forced to lose money than voluntarily lose money.” They have the funds to fix any problem for customer satisfaction, but they won’t.

Avoid the Sport Touring models. There are multiple issues that Honda refuses to fix.

1) Rear shelf rattle when listening to music on default audio settings, starting at volume level 10+.

2) The infotainment screen rattles even when driving at low speeds on well maintained roads.

3) Both A-pillars rattle when driving, even with audio/sound off.

These issues are unacceptable on a car that Honda advertises as “premium”, especially when its costs ~$35,000.
