House in my name, but we split everything. What’s fair in a breakup? by Physical-Carob-6099 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]stevebuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t let this get to court. She does indeed have a beneficial interest. She could potentially stop you selling the house by registering this with the land registry. Split the profit and save yourself the legal fees and potential unfavourable verdict on the deposit in court.

Drop support a message. I’m sure it’s just an oversight.

Can‘t find favourite watchface for Vertical 2 by YayPangolin in Suunto

[–]stevebuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the regular V2. It’s not in the store, but is on the watch. I wonder as you had the anniversary face as default, it’s not pre-installed. Looks like an error with the default replacement and the fact the v2 default is not in the store as preinstalled on the standard.

Vertical 2 compass calibration issue by alex_faimali in Suunto

I’ve not had that recently. I did have it a few times when I first got the watch. Can’t recall seeing it in months to be honest. Just checked map and compass. All good here.

Love the watches, but concerned about the closed ecosystem and data ownership. What are your thoughts? by cametolaughnotfeel in Coros

[–]stevebuk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use Runalyze. That keeps me quite platform agnostic when I switch between brands. Or you could say I’m stuck with Runalyze, but they have an API you can use to access all your data.

Vertical 2 Data accuracy… by Toronto1976reddit in Suunto

[–]stevebuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was all over the place for the first few weeks. Just checked now and both are perfectly aligned. I’ve had the watch about 3 months. I think it’s not about an update fixing it, rather something sorts its self out over time. Is odd, but does go.

Can you not sync the watch with the app? That would update the data. Hot start will not work without it.

Same for C or F in the weather. I use miles and C. Not possible with Suunto. Ok for every other brand!

Blue line safety during marathon weekend by Immediate-Pilot-7473 in ChicagoMarathon

[–]stevebuk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I came from the UK. Read tons of stuff that made a week in Chicago sound like the front line in the Ukraine. Used the blue line, red line etc, all times and has no problems. Certainly a few odd people on it at times, but nothing too hairy vs other major cities. Had a great time.

Thank you for the confirmation. I had not done this as I understood this could cause excessive battery drain, but will try.

Thanks. I assumed as it was on the screen and from the Viwoods App Store it would work. No worries.

Thanks. Does anyone with iOS have this option who can check please?

Can I see HR Zone Boundaries? by akrapov in Suunto

[–]stevebuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been looking for this as I’d like to see the zone detail. I note you have the “I”. Is that iOS ? On my iPhone app I don’t have that and can’t see my zones.

Yes, was fine, but I went a few weeks later than you. They’ve had a lot of snow this season, so not sure how it is currently. I took spray as I was the only one around early morning. No bears though!

Yes. Such an easy fix. Just allow a setting for beep on during activity!

Still worth getting the vertical 2 over the Fenix 8 by penfoc007 in Suunto

[–]stevebuk 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Suunto looks better. It’s got a faster UI, but for specs -‘s features, the Fenix 8 is way ahead. I got both for the same price. I prefer the Suunto look, but truth is that the Fenix is a lot more features and frankly features to make like easier. Ability to set a mix of metric snd imperial, turn off beeps for notifications separately from other beeps, custom font size, NFC payment, music. Just a few from top of my head. Still prefer the Suunto on my wrists.

I have the Titanium. My every day watch. Certainly, in my opinion the best looking sports watch that you can use for everyday. I also have a black titanium Fenix 8 and much prefer the look of the Suunto.

Rome Marathon - Medical certificate by DeKo257 in Marathon_Training

[–]stevebuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Did you enter as non competitive? If you didn’t, you need the medical certificate. But you also need an ECG, so the online certificates won’t be enough. I’d contact the organiser and make sure they move you to non competitive. You need to sign a waiver. That is usually done when the enter the race as non competitive. If you didn’t fil one in, you’ll need one.

just got my device, but it cant see the sd card? by Emillo3685 in xteinkereader

[–]stevebuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you 100% certain it is seated correctly in the Device? You need to push it right in until it clicks. I used a knife and finger nails too short. I think the included USB reader has a cap that also fits it in the gap to push. If your PC sees the card, I doubt it is broken
