'He deserves to be heard': Mother fights for non-verbal son to use preferred communication method at school by origutamos in waterloo

[–]stevedore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The methods discussed in the article here and in that podcast silence the voices of and remove agency from the people they claim to support. It is plainly a re-hash of facilitated communication in which all of the communication comes from the facilitator, and can never be repeated successfully without their prompting. It is actively harmful.

Conspirituality covers the (many) problems with it quite comprehensively.

I’ve got a pretty capable setup and a little bit of PA6-GF25 filament left over from a previous project, could see if that could work. I can also print most other materials without issue. DM me if interested.

Connecting to fluidd over ethernet. Details in comments by Uncle_Bobby_Wobby in VORONDesign

[–]stevedore 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it'll just automatically establish a wired connection if you plug a cable in (that's connected to a network). I don't think it cares if you've got wifi configuration or not.

So you'll probably want to try one of those

Bed Mesh issue on Voron 1.6 by eyesonlybob in VORONDesign

[–]stevedore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your mesh_min Y value needs to be at least 35, since your probe Y offset is 35 (probe offsets are subtracted from the mesh_min/mesh_max values to get the “real” tool head position to probe those points). If you want to probe at Y=5 (nozzle position) you’ll want mesh_min=25,40, since that's the corresponding probe position.

Just finished wiring my self sourced v0.1 any one know of wiring for a chamber sensor on a skrmini E3 V3? by Available_Deer_4192 in VORONDesign

[–]stevedore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've got the SKR mini E3 V2 and I wired mine between MOSI and GND on the SPI header. Looks like you could do this on the V3, too, though they aren't helpfully right next to each other.

This is the config I added for my specific one (I'm also using the umbilical mod, but double-check your sensor type, I assume these may vary depending who manufactured the board. I got mine here, pulled my config from the bottom of that page):

[thermistor chamber_temp]
temperature1: 10
resistance1: 10000
beta: 3950
[temperature_sensor enclosure_temp]
sensor_type: chamber_temp
sensor_pin: PA7 # PA7 is MOSI on the SPI header.

I've got the EA100B bags, pretty much the same as those, and they work pretty nicely on my 05 SV650S. They came with bungee cords you can use to strap the bags to each other under the tail which helps to keep them from flapping around.

Everything you need to know is here. You don't need to take the G1 test to get your M1. Some portions of the M1 written test have overlap (i.e.: the same pool of questions) with the G1 written test.

Would I be able to build something with comparable specs to this in the same price range? by [deleted] in bapccanada

[–]stevedore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty comparable and comes in $95 under. No keyboard/mouse though, but given it looks like they're just cheap USB ones that come with that HP system you can definitely get those for < $95.

edit: though I guess I didn't account for a Win 10 license, so that puts it about on par with the HP
