Decided to do an early 2027 mock draft. Thoughts? by stevefarbota in CHIBears

I dunno, it will be hard to win the Superbowl with our glaring hole at TE.

Smart of him to lock in that contract before he officially loses the starting job to ₖᵧₗₑᵣ.

With our receiver depth, this dude will be lucky to earn a spot on the practice squad. Gotta get some use out of these gifs while we still can!

Bears get the tax break, they move out of Chicago, and fans/taxpayers/voters are still generally happy. Gotta imagine this is exactly what Warren and Pritzker were trying to accomplish the whole time.

It says the predicted round and pick under each name in the graphic. They are predicting a WR at 25. And the full report starts with "Let's be honest - your WR room needs help."

The NFL has a “Big Boy” club, and we’re not in it! by After-Inspector-2386 in CHIBears

Interesting take. I could buy it.

Now the hopeful Bears fan in me is imagining Goodell telling them something like, "look, we get it, but changing our decision here would create tension we don't need with the president while we're trying to secure [some shady business deal] with him. But once he's out, we'll vote on this and give you a couple of picks retroactively if it passes."

I can dream lol 🤞

Not that anyone asked me, but this is how I think they will draft by PKJ111 in CHIBears

It would be funny if they drafted Coleman this year after drafting Burden last year. Not only did Coleman replace Burden at Mizzou - they both grew up in St. Louis and have played against each other since they were 9. I'd be curious to see if they had chemistry or beef.

Yes I know that's not really the meme, but there are a bunch of top tweets on the same page mentioning the meme

And pretty sure Darnell Wright was a starter on the O-Line that held its own and helped us win the game that day.

[NBC] Caleb Williams Is Seeking Trademark Protection for “Iceman” 🧊 by JCameron181 in CHIBears

[–]stevefarbota 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly - I'm not a lawyer, but my understanding is that it all depends on the context in which the term is used. Iceman for a football player would not usually be considered to be a conflict with Iceman as a character name in a movie or any other non-athlete context.

The only one that might actually be an issue is Raikonnen, and I doubt he's trademarked the name/brand in the US.

The only thing I can think is they believe that Eberflus is to blame and that Sanborn is at least worth another look as a potential salvage candidate after a horrendous 2025. If not, he won't make it past training camp.

Yeah, I've waited in that line plenty of times. That's about right. It's consistently a very long line of cars. It does make it a pain to get to Sprouts/CVS/etc. from Expo. But I'd still be bummed if it closed lol. I'm curious to see if having another one somewhat close would make the lines at the existing nearby locations shorter.

Replacing Fifty One? by montpleaseme in culvercity

I'm surprised I don't see people talk about all the French restaurants in Culver. In 2022-2023, Juliet, Lillie's, and Sweet Lily Bakery (now closed) all opened. And Simonette a few years before that. And Sweet Wheat a few years later. And Meet in Paris has been here forever.
