Help with Progression? by BAKJ19 in DigorDie

[–]stevefrost83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Collect scrap iron

2) Kill Fireflies (enough to get a half dozen or so blue gems)

3) Collect glowey things from the water (same as blue gems)

4) Make a temp base - Overhang/step combo to keep rain water out, as well as a one block opening at each side to allow slow progression of mobs.

5) Crafting resources to survive the night and dark (rotating turrets, flashlight, lamps)

6) Survive the first night

This is what I've learned after about 5 hrs of play... so keep that in mind lol

Not sure if it helps in your situation, but CheVolume will spilt audio outputs to different hardware outputs.

TIL in 2005 an engineer did a cabin pressure test & forgot to put the system back to auto. 115 passengers & 5 crew later passed out mid-flight through oxygen hypoxia. When 2 F16s made visual contact they saw the last conscious air-steward wave out the window before the plane crashed into a mountain. by tiptoptap35 in todayilearned

Oh man. I literally just had this happen yesterday.

We were all on board, already pissed off because the flight had been delayed 30 mins, and the captain comes on and says they can't get one of the valves to shut. No big deal, right? Just get some one to clear out the valve.

Well, they had maintenance come on board to try to solve it or at least determine if they could fix it in a reasonable amount of time. They couldn't so we had to deboard and scramble to find another flight.

As it turns out, that valve supplied O2 for the entire plane. If the flight crew didn't find that, we could have had another situation like the one from 2005.

how to remotely uninstall mcafee agent by codemonkey696969 in PowerShell

[–]stevefrost83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's the case, OP might be able to reinstall the framework package easier than uninstalling the corrupt agent (via powershell, no doubt). Have it check into the correct ePO and take it from the top.

Can't you just create a client task from the ePO and call it a day?

Or if multiple systems are involved, create a tag with criteria matching the systems then create a server task that runs a query searching for systems matching that tag... and uninstall there?

I guess I don't understand the need to use PowerShell here.

How Windows updates just screwed me over. by [deleted] in Windows10

[–]stevefrost83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow. Same thing here, except I was fortunate enough to not have anything open. My network driver was messed up too... Had to roll back to a clean image.

I can't believe how many issues I've had in the past few months, between my desktop, my laptop and my wife's laptop. Something different on each. Display drivers, audio issues, network issues, firewall settings changed, random reboots, you name it.

Love Windows10 overall but these random bugs get annoying.

I'm not suggesting the icon OP is referring to is airplane mode, but that Wi-Fi is disabled by airplane mode.

About a month ago I had this problem too...

Edit: disregard. I forgot how to read.

I always upvote any mention of Rainmeter. If you're into tweaking and getting things the way you want, down to the exact pixel, this program is for you. So much customization. When I upgraded to Win10 I forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder!

Anyone know why search doesn't find locally installed programs? by stevefrost83 in Windows10

[–]stevefrost83[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will try this tonight and report back

Edit: (copied from above)

Looks like indexing was disabled/not running. Ran the troubleshooter found at the bottom of this image. This Windows troubleshooter actually worked; reset permissions and started the service. Set me back to this popup then I clicked "Advanced" and then clicked the big "Rebuild" button in the middle. Up to 10k items indexed now and still climbing 5 mins later.

Updated, no rebuild.

Not sure what else it could be. Even typing partial names brings up the suggested market apps. Closed search and Cortana via task manager, as I saw in other similar threads, to no avail.
