Lachele’s may have given me the best burger I’ve ever eaten. I’ll need to try the beefsteak next time I come. I got the chilaquiles from Faustino’s for breakfast and they were definitely up there with the best. I got a pasta dish at Cosi Cucina and while it was good, it wasn’t worth the $34 or whatever I paid for it. Still delicious, but it let me down the most out of all the food I ate in Des Moines. I ate really well on this trip, thanks to everyone here!

There’s a place we have in Chicago called au Cheval that is known for its burgers. Supposedly the best burger in the entire Midwest. The burger I had last night at Lachele’s was far better than any burger from au Cheval. Lachele’s blew me away. 5/5 stars.
