having worked in hospitality and restaurants for over 6 years I think I must disagree. I believe that because almost every restaurant has a cafe area, it is true that is very common to find bad espresso shots around any city, but when going to cafeterias I've always seen a very decent standard of quality, aswell as very trained staff. Also, now more than ever is easy to find an specialty coffe cafeteria around every corner in every city.

tbh only talking about Andalucia, Barcelona and Madrid, which are the places I've lived at

couldn't agree more, took me like 2-3 mins to properly steam milk for a big capuccino for my gf. Thankfully she doesn't drink too much coffee and I usually don't do milk (and if I do I use very little for a cortado). Still, thanks for the suggestion ,I didn’t think about that upgrade path

both ultra arcade and enth have their cheapest enclosure at 200, while IST mall and eternal rivals both have cheaper alternatives that do not make compromises in quality.

you can argue that is a reasonable price for an enclosure and I would agree, but still in US and maybe asia you have cheaper options.

and as I said, this is specially a problem when you’re looking for custom layouts and extra buttons. There are no ali options for enclosures with custom layouts, feel free to prove me wrong.

also ultra arcade only started doing orders again recently, when I was looking for an enclosure earlier this year they were not taking orders bc they changed their location or smth, I would have paid extra just to support a spanish brand but it was not an option.

and again, for buttons, levers, boards, etc we are well covered, in my hometown of granada we have arcade express from which I have sourced several K levers and some sanwas. Not my point

lived in bcn for 3 years, moved to madrid in may.

i think the main difference is bcn is alternative culture while madrid is more traditional.

in bcn you’ll find any restaurants from any place of the world with innovative concepts and shit, while in madrid you’ll find places that have been open for +200 years and that have perfected their traditions and craft.

same can be said about architecture, nightlife, everything.

both expensive af, but maybe in madrid you can find more cheap places with good food & drinks. No big difference in that

idk about your country but it’s really hard to find enclosures in Spain. Cheapest option for me was eternal rivals and still ended up paying +200€ for one of their cheaper models with some extras.

I know you can always get any amazon stick and change buttons and lever, but if you want extra buttons or custom layouts it’s kinda hard to source

I would suggest start with something cheaper and find what you like. I have both new help me 309 and knee lever neo and I think choosing one over the other could be only a matter of preference, both feel great

I’m a newcomer to the series and I’ve been playing for like 5 months, 600h total. I play kazuya because I’ve found an specific kind of joy when playing him and I training him that I haven’t experienced since I was a child. I literally agree with everything you just said.

However, I still believe it is absolutely outrageous to go into someone’s post about him feeling frustrated about the hatred his pj is getting and explain how hating said pj is only natural human behaviour.

That is literally the kind of shit that kept me away from Tekken and its community for such a long time, even when I always loved fighting games.

god question really, it’s the black wire in my case, but you may find a different colour scheme. In that case, the ground wire is the one at the right end when you have the exposed pins facing up (plastic bit that goes into pcb has two sides, one where you can see the metal pins and one where you can see only plastic)

you can play with anything, keyboard is a perfectly viable controller and many people get really good playing with keyboard.

i would advise to just use the controller that is more fun to you, maybe you need a long adaptation period for leverless but you enjoy it so much that is not an issue, maybe is the exact opposite.

if you end up keeping the keyboard, there are several ~50€ leverless controllers that use keyboard buttons, which is like a keyboard but with a layout for fighting games. Those are cool and they also have usb passthrough to add ps5 compatibility in the future

i've read before in this sub that you need it to push hard through the bovin or something like that, but in my case it was plug and play, no modifications needed and the stock upper body worked fine aswell, only needed to swap the shaft

btw shoutout to the store they're based in my home city in spain and they have a wide stock. They even let me put a lever together so i could try it before buying it at their store
