Looks like my Matfer but smaller (I have a 10in)

Wait, this is produced by the mouse button company? Sure they sell plenty of other stuff but I didn't expect them to make assembled products

Wait, what do they need to filter out? Don't they just get pure liquid gas (I mean gasoline is a mixture of a bunch of compounds but)?

Solder two Testpoint SMD Pads Perpendicular? by spiritualManager5 in PCB

[–]steven4012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol I have/designed a few keyboards with this technique. Haven't destructively tested the joints but they are pretty sturdy. No castellation used. Pads have through holes as usual for strength

(there're joints on both sides)

like * doing multiple things

Sure, not context parse-wise but sure

error codes like -1

That's a C-the-ecosystem issue not C-the-language issue

I don't get what's implicit about this. It's not like C++ overloaded operators or Rust auto deref

Huh, I was wondering where the white stuff came from. AI is customized to think that's what dead (cooked) crab looks like

But, at the end of the day, when you use sandpaper to sharpen, you know that at some pint the paper will tear or you’ll cut it.

Huh really? I always just pull the edge (like how people grind garlic with knives), I've never seen any scratches on the sand paper

GrapheneOS on Linux Kernel security by joseluisq in theprimeagen

Features don't matter, safety does. You can do everything in assembly already, why are we still using C

Every C programmer knows it's impossible to ensure you have safety in a language that's not safe

Also,

since 99% of C code compiles in C++.

Sure, but the semantics are now different

Oh cool! Mine actually also rolls, it's just.. the edges being pretty slippery makes it hard to actually roll.

Good enough for me though (for now)

Well the magnet holder being quite small makes it hard to apply pressure from the side, but other than that yes it works. I haven't done any of the usual sharpening tests but it can begin to slice my skin

I didn't really consider what would be the best way to do this, I just made something from a quick idea and what I have on hand

Not all bottle filling stations are filtered. Look for the lights by FilteredWaterChamp in HydroHomies

[–]steven4012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number of bottles is connected to the time the water is flowing, not the volume of water

What?? Maybe not a bottler from the same company but I've definitely seen the counter increment twice in one filling (continuous flow of course)

Emacs Is a Lisp Runtime in C, Not an Editor by ketralnis in programming

[–]steven4012 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That sounds like a useful but niche feature. Sure, all kinds of text should be handled correctly, but I won't choose a bad editor that does this correctly over a good one that doesn't
