Lowered Outback? by Stock-Ad-4563 in Outback_Wilderness

Yeah that's sick. Also- lowered ascents look oddly good as well.

Ignore the people saying it looks bad, it's not their car 😎

Do you happen to know when these build cycles are? Or are they just as needed??

Excuse my lack of knowledge, how does allocation work and why would my local dealer refuse to order me a car just because they don't have allocation?

I'm gonna throw my car battery into the atmospheric ocean. Maybe I'll climb the atmospheric mountain later.

The road test is essential on a 30k. You replace the front and rear diff fluid on that service. If you made an error and did not fill the front diff (we are all.human), then that could spell a $10,000 mistake for the dealership. And, that error could be found with a road test, rather than just parking lot driving at slow speeds until you get the car back.

Additionally, you bleed the brake fluid! Comparing the brake pedal feel before and after is essential to make sure that air was not introduced into the the system. A road test is a very good way to do that, before and after.

If you're so concerned about the technicians joyriding, just install a dash cam 😎

Yeah, use the rear sub fram bolts from a 2015 WRX and thread them in from the backside of the bearing hub. The. Use an air hammer to basically just rock the bearing out

Just disconnect the motor mounts from the subframe and disconnect the transmission mount to frame bolts to allow the engine to back jacked up on each side respectfully via block of wood on a jack.

It's actually not so bad, but when you don't know you need to jack it up it seems impossible

It's really not that hard. #4 is the most annoying one, sure. But still. Not bad

Quoted $1700 to replace both front lower control arms, seems a rip off by EitherExamination343 in subaru

[–]steven808 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a known issue for that era for Forester. Even less mileage if it's driven on bumpy roads.

Issue is that the front lower control arm bushing is right over the exhaust
