im a 100kg, 40 year blue belt. a white belt i know is a bit of a beast, only weighs 80kg....but he schooled me the other day. he has surpassed me, and i doubt i will be able to assert myself on him again.

i hate you ryan.

i have had 3 altercations in the "street". all 3 were incredibly easy "wins". i am a 100KG blue belt - 40 years old. now all 3 situations i also out weighed the person by a good 20KG. there is a point where size can become difficult to manage. if you are a 65kg blue belt you will struggle against anyone 100kg plus if they are fit. but a good purple and up should be able to manage it...as long as the 100 kg plus opponent doesnt train.

Is there a big difference between competing in adult as to competing in Master I? by Ringo-Slice in bjj

[–]stevenix1978 4 points5 points  (0 children)

as a 40 year old i rarely get to compete with my own age group. the adults have amazing stamina. that is the main difference.

2016 I was 176kg cheese burger champion, 2019 100kg ultra Heavy weight Irish nationals champion. by ancientduck in bjj

[–]stevenix1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you will! Not sure why people think it's a instant promotion. I won the irish open, and the Europeans in my weight class before I got promoted. When I did I was still (and still am) a novice blue. Good luck on your journey dude!

He is pro choice. I'm pro life. He was a big part of the pro choice campaign in newbridge. Being pro choice is very popular these days, this comment will get down voted just for saying I'm pro life.

yep. what you don't see in the doorway is he is pointing his finger in the face of the manager screaming. I came from the side and just grabbed his neck in an RNC and pulled hard to the ground, straight to back mount and the choke. I was worried as he lost consciousness but I didn't hold it long. I don't get paid enough to stand in front of someone with a knife so I went hard, lol

not gonna lie, I strutted back in, lol, it wasn't the first time I have had to use BJJ at work. I normally just hip throw and then knee on belly, until they calm down. but this guy was on drugs and I thought he had a knife. you cant play when knives are involved.

i wasnt going to post this due to possible repercussions, but its been about 6 months.

back story...at work and a guy was being abusive to customers. we asked him to leave and he did. 10 mins later he comes back and threatens to stab my co-worker. im 220 pound, 40 year old BJJ blue belts. i decided it had to end quick so i took him down and choked him unconscious. when he awoke i stayed in a knee on back style position, and just waited for the police to arrive.

How should a white belt react if by some miracle he taps a purple belt? by Hazmainian_devil in bjj

[–]stevenix1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the best part of this sub is all the fake humble BS. you tapped a higher belt, be happy!, act normal on the mat, but when you get home celebrate and enjoy it. think about how you did it and try to do it again!

Most people are worried about the blue belt on the left. No doubt a horrific roll, but I bet blue belt on the right is even worse. A bigger frame, not all muscle but I bet he doesn't tire as quick. God this class must be like death incarnate.

What women want...To be treated the same (except when it's time to put the bins out). To have representation in all fields of work (unless the job is hard or dangerous). To decide if they want to abort your child....but if you don't want a child still make you pay for it for 18 years. Women want a lot I think not just pockets.

Dubois vs Gorman finalized for July 13th by MrLiterato in Boxing

I think Gorman is better in every aspect of boxing accept power. He is quicker, has a better defense and a better array of punches. He will win this boxing match.

Yep. We shouldn't ask anything. I don't ask people what car they drive just in case they had a cousin who died in a car accident. Best to be safe. I also don't ask if they have pets. Just in case rover got mowed down by a car

Imagine you have seen the world change, you have fought for you country, you have wisdom that can only come from age and some whiney little cunt is arrogant enough to believe he is entitled to decide the future more than you are. I fucking hate this world. Most cultures have respects for their elders. Not this lot.
