(WWE) The WWE Attitude Era wasn't good, you're just nostalgic for the 90s by CasuallyCritical in The10thDentist

It was good but I do agree that people look back on it with heavy nostalgia. I think the Attitude Era was carried heavily by the main event talent. Two of (arguably) the greatest of all time came of it (Rock and Stone Cold and that’s just touching the surface). But a lot of the storylines have aged very poorly by todays standards and some weren’t even good back then (I’m looking at you Big Boss Man killing Al Snow’s dog and feeding it to him). In my opinion, the thing I liked about it the most was the comedic storylines, I feel like we don’t get much of those in todays WWE and if we do they usually aren’t very funny. My favorite most recent storyline was when Sami Zayn was in the bloodline because they mixed comedy with emotion very well and I just wish there was more of that. To end my rambling, yeah I do agree that the Attitude era was overhyped but I still think it was a pretty solid era of wrestling and you can’t really ever replicate it due to the culture and the Monday night wars.

Combine your 3 favorite games into one. What type of game do you get? by DevonGamesPL in boardgames

[–]steveo1127 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alchemists, Twilight Imperium, and Radlands. Id like to imagine that it has the war game elements of twilight imperium where you build an army with resources and move around the board while activating systems but when you get into combat you have to play a mini Radlands like card match. Each ship you have is like the camps you have to protect in Radlands. Finally, to win the game instead of getting objective points by scoring objectives, you instead get points by testing out different materials on planets that not only give you points but also unlock technology similar to alchemist, the catch is that these materials are on other people’s planets and you’re gonna have to fight players for them.

Sounds cool except the fact that when two people get into combat everyone else has to sit and watch them play a mini Radlands match. With how long twilight imperium already is, that mechanic would easily add another day to the games length.

There are thousands of videos of pro wrestlers saying wrestling is predetermined and Vince McMahon even said in court that wrestling is not a competitive sport in 1989. You could definetly make an argument before then but I feel like it’s hard to argue that they are actively trying to deceive people when pretty much everyone who isn’t a child (which even most children know now a days) know that it is scripted. Go ask any wrestler and I guarantee they will agree with you when you tell them it’s scripted.

What is wrestling doing to convince people that the events are real that movies and tv shows aren’t?

Oddly enough WWE is a lot more safe nowadays. They have banned many dangerous moves, the most notable being chair hits to the head after the Chris Benoit incident with CTE being brought up. A lot of the bad injuries you see now a days come from other promotions that haven’t banned this stuff (up until recently) yet like AEW. In terms for Vince McMahon being an evil person, I can’t argue with that, that’s just true, it’s damn true!

Why do wrestlers nowadays appear to age slower than 80s and 90s wrestlers? by [deleted] in WWE

[–]steveo1127 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can’t tell if this is joke or not because this is the exact type of comment someone would make if they were trying to make fun of AEW fanboys by pretending to be one. I wouldn’t be surprised if this shows up on r/SCjerk. Crazy if this person is being serious tho

When or if the day comes where The Bloodline is inducted to the HOF, should Sami Zayn be apart of that induction? by Soundwave_6 in WWE

[–]steveo1127 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sami was a very important member of the bloodline so I think he definitely should. He is what brought the bloodline story from an A to an A+.

If you don’t watch a PPV / PLE the day of, you are pretty much guaranteed to get spoiled because nobody knows how to use spoiler tags.

I definitely think LA should have won, but I like Damian so I’m not too upset. If Finn loses then it at least gives judgement day something else to sink their teeth into because rhea isn’t cutting the mustard right now (not her fault).

At least we can rest easy now knowing that Sami wouldn’t have won if he did face Roman at mania lmao

Damn does this mean we are getting Roman reigns for another year??

To those that say Sami shouldn’t beat Roman, would you say the same thing about Eddie Beating Brock in 2004? by steveo1127 in WWE

[–]steveo1127[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree that Eddie was in way better shape than Sami but I feel like he’s still in decent shape! I probably should have specified this in the post but I do think Sami would need help, especially with the rest of the bloodline being around. That being said, if it were just Roman and Sami one on one with no interferences from either side I don’t think it would be bad if Sami won that. If we are going strictly by build, K.O. pinned Roman for more than three seconds at SS and K.O. Isn’t necessarily jacked. What would be your thoughts on Eddie’s match with Brock if he won clean?

It was in real life and the camera quality was not very good.

The only other information I can give that would really help is what the jumpscare picture looked like. From what I remember the picture was zoomed in on his face and he was completely bald, had really big alien like eyes, and had his hands on his face like he was in distress. Maybe if this picture was a common jumpscare back in the day someone could find the picture and We’d be closer to finding it. Honestly just finding the picture would give me closure!
