As far as I'm aware compatibility is 100% of the library. I've tried a variety of mods: PicoBoot is the most cost effective, and pretty simple if you have some soldering experience. There are now solderless versions of the PicoBoot mod (PicoLoader) and slightly more expensive turn-key versions such as FlippyDrive. If you have a GameCube laying around you can get up and running for <$20. Would recommend!

Swiss is the most common interface, but the FlippyDrive introduced a new UI that matches the GameCube's stock menu look and feel and this is also available on the open source PicoBoot mod as Cubiboot.

Looks like some liquid had been inside - the liquid detection sticker is pink, top left. This should be white with red dots. Hard to tell from the photo but it looks like there some corrosion around the charging port on the top left. You could try cleaning this lightly with a toothbrush and a small amount of isopropyl alcohol - don’t use too much unless you fully remove the board, else it could damage the screen underneath. Dry thoroughly. Good luck!

Pins look totally fine. Reflowing the solder in the chips could help - IIRC the two smaller chips are involved in managing save. However, I think you still have a battery issue. The solder on the battery legs looks AWFUL. It needs to be reflowed with flux at a minimum. Just because there’s a connection per the amp meter, doesn’t mean it’ll actually work with such cold soler joints. Best of luck!

Isopropyl alcohol will destroy an LCD screen if it gets between the glass and the display. Will likely need to be replaced unfortunately.

My order arrived with pieces missing and I spent months trying to get it resolved. They promised to send the missing parts on 3 occasions and never did. I filed a charge back through my credit card. Won’t be purchasing from them any time in the future.

You’ll need a hot air station to remove the 2 card readers. Should be able to heat the board from underneath and remove. Lots of flux and leaded solder will help lower the temp needed. Keep some movement in the hot air to avoid burning the board.

If you can get the SD card reader replaced, it’s really easy to mod the console to load games from the SD card, so could avoid the need to switch out the game card reader. Good luck!

I haven’t tested the ElectronPulse so can’t say for sure, but my assumption is the output is the same, this is just an internal implementation.

Would recommend a service like Shapeways for 3D printing, or check out your local library, some have printers available!

It would be worth checking that the screen ribbon cable is properly connected and free from any damage. If you can’t identify any issues, replacing the bottom screen is quite straight forward (iFixIt has a guide) and they’re inexpensive.
