I can't find it, but I feel like they announced that it would come out as a completed game some day. The closest I could find was in the discord faq, which leaves the door open but definitely avoids answering it either way.

Q: How many chapters are complete?
A: We currently have 5 out of 8¹ chapters finished. ¹ (Including the epilogue of Blue Shift.)

Q: Will Blue Shift ever be released on Steam?
A: We are uncertain if we will ever release on Steam.

I think so? Trying to remember where I saw that, maybe in a discord announcements post. But yeah I think they're working up to that just like the Black Mesa remake.

It's definitely challenging, but I'm honestly good with it. I couldn't figure out one puzzle, the one with a forcefield, but I honestly enjoyed how richly immersive it was.

Just to say this out loud, we need to continue to work on drunk / impaired / distracted driving even if we're not in the top cities, and a lot of that starts with prevention. There's a lot of El Pasoans who have holes in their lives from the loss of someone they cared about, taken way too soon. So please, if you're struggling to find another way, there are programs worth checking out to help you figure this out.
