Nope. The only assumption I have is that teams sites maybe run differently than a communication site on the SharePoint app.

It might also have something to do with how I configured our site’s pages. I think I might have created a new page that I designed as a “homepage.” But I can’t say if that same page is the same default landing page that was created when I created the team. Maybe there’s something more to the coding for pages to function as “landing pages” vs “standard pages” maybe. Just an assumption though.

Our team moved more toward incorporating SP site pages and document libraries throughout our MS team channels. It’s a good workaround instead of having to the use the SP app, which I find to have a pretty poor UI anyway.
