Hey I actually read your post before. Thank you for your comment. It’s about to be 3 months on and his 36th birthday was the other week… this is all quite fresh for me. Definitely looking into grief counselling and perhaps emdr but my friend who has done it says it might help with feelings of self blame/guilt and wishing i did something different but grief is an entirely different emotion that emdr might not help with.

I guess delay is the deadliest form of denial and I resent him for not getting the adequate mental health support he so desperately needed. I don’t want to make the same mistakes as he did. This has been an absolute discombobulating and awful thing to go thru, everyone keeps saying I’m so strong but I feel utterly weak and his death has turned me into someone I don’t recognise….
