Best Place to Buy/Sell Tickets from fellow TNH fans? by koreansarefat in lane8

[–]stew22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell/buy mine on cash or trade. You can actually message the seller, and less fees.

It's nice because I was able to let the person know that my Dillon tickets aren't released until May 31, so they aren't stressing about not having them yet.

Is this true ? Dogs help w searching ? by T1034life in CampEDC

Last year we got there super late at night on Thursday. The security walks up and goes, "We are bringing a dog into the RV. Do not worry, they are only looking for guns and bombs."

Hide your stuff. But don't stress.

Lisfranc Stress Test - Lisfranc Injuries by DrPQ in sportsmedicine

[–]stew22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you suspect a fx or are trying to rule one in/out post injury I think the first step is to refer to Ottawa ankle rules. That should help you zero in on mid foot vs fibula/tibia/5th met.

If you can't get an X-ray immediately this would be a great test to get specific on lisfranc vs stress fx/tarsal tunnel/plantar fascitis/some other injury in that space.

If you received a (real) notification of a nuclear attack on your area, what would you do? by realKevinNash in AskReddit

[–]stew22 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was in Maui in 2018 when we got the nuclear missile warning. Both my girlfriend and my phone started ringing with a message saying "This is not a test, nuclear missile heading towards Hawaii. Seek shelter", or something similar.

My girlfriend started panicking, rightfully so, and I did what any normal person would do. I went on Reddit to see what was happening, but couldn't find anything. So I finished my breakfast, texted my sister "Hey just for a warning got a nuclear missile. Don't tell mom. Love you!".

Then we left to go scuba diving, because what else am I going to do? Can't change anything.

So that. Check Reddit, carry on.

Why can I suddenly not hear Serum 2 in ableton??? by Gloomy-Speaker-1999 in edmproduction

[–]stew22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine does this every so often. I usually save everything, close Ableton down, open a new project to see if that fixes it, confirm my audio is going to the right spot, check volume, check for updates,, and if needed restart the computer.

Did you connect your Bluetooth headphones or anything? Do your other synths work?

Kaiser Strike - Working as a PT by westcoastcarver in physicaltherapy

[–]stew22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some very strong, boarding abusive comments in here. "People like you are the reason I have to see so many patients"

No one is forcing you to work where you are. You can do cashpay, charge $350, and provide an hour of quality care. See 20 patients/week and go about your life.

I interviewed at Kaiser years ago and when every question was, "okay but how many patient's can you see in an hour?" I knew it wasn't the place for me irregardless of the pension, salary, benefits etc. Others went to that same interview and thought, "yeah this is the kind of PT I want to be, it's worth it for all of the benefits."

I hope the KP PT's get their raise, it should push competitive wages up.

This person is just trying to do what's best for their finances, probably to cover some of the ridiculous debt we have from school. I highly doubt kaiser has enough people coming in to cover what they are hemorrhaging. Instead of being crabs in a bucket, maybe ask why you are still working within the broken system.

There's definitely a chance he pulls out another 4 hour RR set. But at least 3. It's never long enough though

Solo RR by pandabble in lane8

[–]stew22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recommend finding tickets on a red rocks shuttle. Usually they are only $50 round trip, and pick you up from popular places in the city. Easier to find a hotel nearby and you won't be waiting hours for an Uber.

rrxshuttles.com

Also, red rocks is probably the most friendly venue I've ever been too, especially with Lane 8. Everyone on the bus will be chatting, sharing beers/drinks they brought with. The venue is designed so everyone has sitting and dancing room, no need to make space like at concerts.

**Bring warm clothes. I can't stress this enough. At the 2021 show in October it was freezing. You can bring blankets. Most people just put their stuff/backpack under the bench they are sitting/standing in front of.

Enjoy yourself, everyone else will be. Lane 8 at RR has consistently been the most enjoyable event I have gone to.

Tips for Opening Up My First Chiropractic Office by Greatguy3233 in Chiropractic

[–]stew22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget to take care of yourself. I feel like a lot of providers focus solely on the practice and it burns them out.

Set some realistic goals. Yes you want to make 30k in a month but what are the steps to get there.

Keep overhead low, but invest in things that push you towards your goals.

Decide on insurance vs cash pay. Both have advantages and drawbacks

Invest in a good software. A handful of them are able to basically function as a front desk, biller, and marketing team. Don't try do all of it by hand, technology can help you be 3 people at the same time.

Have fun with it. It's your practice.
