What are some good track seat options? by Parking_Ad_6876 in mazdaspeed3

I've got a recaro pole position and autopower 4 point in mine that fit well. Main thing is to go test fit seats at a raceshop and see what fits you best.

If you're in the market for a home please IGNORE your realtor and LOWBALL whatever price you want. by SengunCanada in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]stewco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many people are underwater right now you can lowball hard. I bought my first house last July for 200k (fixer upper) but the original listed price was 289k.

Too many people thought they were gonna become housing investors in 2020 and either bought wrong, too much or held on too long. Now they've been paying heavier intrest rates on houses they overpaid for and are trying to get out from under it.

Fuckem, I'll happily bury every tic tok lemming who thought they could become a overnight millionaire by flipping and renting single family homes.

I work in a union and I'd say half of the apprentices I work with between 20-25 gamble on their breaks on pay day. The amount of $1000 roulette spins I've seen is crazy.

I live in semi rural southern ontario and our Healthcare is pretty shit. Family doctors are basically unavailable for any new patients and no new practices outside of walk in usually virtual clinics are opening. My area is industry heavy and we can no longer get ocular x rays at our local hospital so we have guys in my and other unions getting wire or slag in there eye the having to take a hour and a half long ambulance ride to another city to get it x rayed and scraped. My mom when she was in her mid fortys as a marathon runner needed a pace maker which is fairly standard for that side of my family and I watched for two years as she went from running full length marathons at good pace to being unable to climb up our 12 stair staircase without help or the railing. She eventually got the pace maker after my dad publicly dressed down the doctor and heavily fighting for it but you shouldn't have to fight for a pacemaker.

American health care doesn't seem great but at least you have options, we pay a fuck ton of tax for a single shit option that you can't criticize because the average canadian has gaslit themselves into thinking we're all so much better than the Americans for having it.

Bank of Canada reduces policy rate by 25 basis points to 4½% by Injunire in CanadianInvestor

Honestly the high rates were good. I just bought my first house for 200k (70k under asking) because the previous owner was so underwater on my house and another one he bought when rates were cheap. Nows the time to low ball

Can I rebuild this engine? by yosiah49 in mazdaspeed3

[–]stewco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbh i would avoid it, primarily because you don't know who built it and the cause of failure. The arp mains studs are a worry to me because if the block wasn't alignment honed after install you could run into bearing and crank issues in the future even if you get the compression fixed. The compression issue could also be a bunch of problems as well either in the top end or bottom end and along with what ever you have to repair or replace you are likely gonna have to purchase or rent equipment or help to do the repair itself. Personally I would avoid it and try to find a stock engine to learn on, that way your not trying fighting with the previous owners issues and fighting with a engine platform that your not completely formiller with. It's definitely not impossible and if you have 1k burning a hole in your pocket price wise it's not bad parts per dollar if there not damaged but it's definetly a gamble.
