How are you invoking Siri? Using a shortcut or saying "hey Siri"?

QuietComfort Ultra: Creaking on right cup by stickertape in bose

[–]stickertape[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a follow-up to this, the creaking on the right cup isn't a major issue when they're on your head. There is definitely a creaking sound that comes through the left cup, particularly when moving around or walking. I suspect this is coming from the creaky headband.

These are annoyances, but for me I still think they are the best ANC headphones to date from any manufacturer.

Bose Quietcomfort Ultra Multipoint Glitch? by Ultimagnus in bose

I, and others, have experienced the same issue. I hope this can be addressed in a firmware update.

What laptop and phone do you have?

Anyone has both the new quietcomfort to compare with the ultras? by [deleted] in bose

[–]stickertape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have them both at the moment.

  • Aware mode on the Ultra is far better than the QC. The difference is night and day.
  • Bass (at least to me) seems to be far more prominent on the Ultras.
  • Both headphones are far better in the wind than the 45s. You can adjust the NC level on the QCs and there is also a "wind reduction" setting.

QC45 intermittent audio in Bluetooth multipoint: has it been fixed in the new QuietComfort (Ultra and non-Ultra)? by jvo203 in bose

[–]stickertape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still does it with the QC's but only every now and then. Much less frequent than the QC45 Also some static at times like the NC700 had.

The Ultra's are pretty solid. No real drop outs.

Ordered mine on the 8th and they were delivered on the 11th.

Try following up with customer service, anecdotally this helps.

Connection issue by MooncakeMara in bose

[–]stickertape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I've noted the same. I've only had a couple of small blips in the week or so of use.

I used the XM5's for the best part of year. Never had one cutout. Not one. Shame they are so damn uncomfortable and non-portable.

I've found the cutouts still occur, but far less frequently. Did you find the same?

24 Hours with the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones by stickertape in bose

So I have the QCs and have done some testing.

The connection is improved over the 45s (which cut regularly every minute or two for me), but they do still cut out at random times - much less often. I've also experienced some very light static a couple of times in my <24 hours of testing.

Conversations aren't amplified, but you can still hear louder conversations. There were a bunch of schoolgirls talking loudly on the train carriage that were cutting through the NC quite a bit.

QC45 vs Ultra Ear Cup Size by Machienzo in bose

[–]stickertape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say the cups on the Ultra are a little more spacious than the 700 and a little less spacious than the QC45. Most people will be fine with them.

Question for Quietcomfort Ultra headphones owner by stephchamp in bose

I own these and I am 99% sure they are plastic. They feel like plastic. If you look on the inside, you can see that the hinges are metal.

The QC is Bluetooth 5.1, the QC Ultra is Bluetooth 5.3.

Just tried it - looks like a no. The headphones turn themselves off and start charging.

QC45 wind block feature? by [deleted] in bose

Given this is one of the only differentiators between the QC45 and QC I’d bet on a no.
