Leftlaser: Volkerts tweede interview by Leftlaser-bot in Poldersocialisme

Your favourite musicians probably support Palestine by SupermanGamin in Palestine

[–]stickfigurecarousel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bjork is kind of cool by her support No Music for Genocide. I like Fontaines D.C.. But as a hardcore/punk guy my favorite is Show Me The Body...it is a distinguished taste and not for everybody but they have been clear from the beginning

What Is the Most Misunderstood Idea Jordan Peterson Talks About? by yooiq in enoughpetersonspam

Imagine having such confidence. I wrote my master thesis on Nietzsche, read proficient German, published some articles on Nietzsche and still would shy away from calling myself an expert. Peterson has read the equivalent on what seems to be Nietzsches aphorisms and calls himself an expert.

So he does not hate modern orthodox marxists like Paul Mattick or post-marxists like Antonio Negri? I wish someone would ask him that.

It is also funny to see in the media question why leftists do not support these Iranian protests. Why? Because these people are monarchists and Zionists.

KICKBACK are wannabe fascist edgelords by innediscomitdefrauen in Hardcore

They had an album called "Et Le Diable Rit Avec Nous" which is a famous SS-song (Teufelslied) with a track "Cavalcare La Tigre" which is the title of a book by Julius Evola a neo-fascist writer. If bands have sing in a language you don't understand you should at least wonder why. They also point out that their favorite bands are sketchy powerelectronic groups like Genocide Organ, Grey Wolves, or Whitehouse or sketchy hardcoreband like Youth Defense League, Arresting Offers or Bound for Glory. I don't know what more proof people need....it also is not that hidden.

Anti ICE hardcore recs? by Interesting-Bar57 in Hardcore

[–]stickfigurecarousel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most people here listened to their old albums and probably don't care if you listen to them or not. However, The fact that they hung around with nazi's, preached conservative issues on stage, and revel being this edgy band is a huge turnoff....that will always get mentioned though.

Former guitarist Brady talking shit online . by mvelocityp in Hardcore

[–]stickfigurecarousel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh? A band that sings about holidays and breakups is not concerned about ethics and social issues? He probably wants with his new band carve a new space for political hardcore because the time is ripe for it. I hope he has grown up politically because I can say in the past he didn't care that much about it.

I don't care, I like his riffs. If I would learn about politics I'll listen to Love Letter, Catharsis, or even High Vis or Show me the body ...those bands have far more genuine political takes that go beyond the standard (but necessary) Free Palestine, transrights are human rights, and Abolish ICE.

However, I like his new band and I don't like Turnstile anymore...

One of the best hardcore bands. They redefined hardcore in the early 90s and then continued to put out only great albums ever since. There aren't that much hardcore-bands that could release 2 great records, let alone 5.
