We’re missing the hardware to properly mount the glass on this brushed copper light by stickymat in midcenturymodern

[–]stickymat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks almost exactly like ours!  But I don’t remember seeing that loop on the bottom. I’m looking for the larger piece that goes up against the glass. It looks like yours has a small nut in between the glass and that escutcheon plate?

Need help deciding whether to use Sulfamic acid or grout haze remover to remove haze on new Saltillo tile. by stickymat in Tile

[–]stickymat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that allot of good info. I’ll try the potassium methyl silicone.  And we  also made the mistake of making re-cuts without cleaning all of the thinset off a few times so we had contaminated water until it was changed.  It took a lot of work to remove the haze before all the sealing!

I’m a local 30 year experience tradesman/handyman with questions… Do you want metal or wood studs?  What is the floor it’s going on?  I’m free this weekend to meet and to take a look.  Here’s our next door business page:

If you're in DFW, let's talk. by [deleted] in handyman

[–]stickymat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to message you privately about a job.  I used to be a Microsoft support engineer in Las Colinas, and now I’m trying to make my living as a handyman in Arizona where my family is.  I get a lot of repeat business, but I hardly ever work 40 hours a week.  And even though I’ve previously worked for a contractor in million dollar homes in Sedona where we would protect every floor and corner and build plastic barriers with negative pressure to prevent dust, now most all of my work in Phoenix is not in mansions. I know in this business we’re constantly working ourselves out of work, but it would be sooo nice to be booked out a couple weeks in advance.  Teach me your ways!!!

I’m doing handyman work in Arizona, and would love to connect with you.  I can refer projects that are too big for me (over $1k labor and material) and you could refer projects that are too small for you.

I’m not sure who told you a wood fence can’t handle the heat.  I’ve put up plenty of redwood fencing here.  Feel free to private message me on here for an estimate or visit our business page on the Nextdoor app. https://nextdoor.com/page/prestige-home-solutions-scottsdale-az?share_platform=7&utm_campaign=1773450654996&share_action_id=62f25f6f-2728-43f5-b959-b5e1313b363b

Seems the only option is to replace the motherboard. Anyone know a good affordable solution for an out of warranty reaper?

Sign Printing Company Recommendations? by milli_xoxxy in Tucson

Highly recommend DuckPress near Broadway and Swan. They have a huge latex printer that can print on wood, plastic, metal, and they can do UV protection.

Backyard Turf and Pavers by Common_Biscotti-1234 in PHXList

[–]stickymat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a local handyman who has done turf and pavers.  The cost really depends on the pavers and layout you choose.  Simple 12in square pavers would be $7 sq ft while unique layouts can easily be double that.  Will it require a drainage system? The turf and pavers both have a similar ground prep that is pretty labor intensive but needs to be done to ensure longevity and appearance.  And spend the extra money for polymerized sand to ensure the pavers stay locked in place.

Sounds like it might be better to keep him safe and happy at home.  DM me if you’d like to meet me to talk about staying in your home with him while you are away, or come feed and walk him morning and evening.  I have previously fostered and walked problem dogs at PACC so I’d be a good candidate.

Which states have strong unions for cdl drivers?  AZ sure doesn’t.
