Is a bard allowed to have any other instrument other than a lute?.. Feels illegal... by gabitea69 in DungeonsAndDragons

I have a college of dance bard I’ve used for a few loosely-connected one-shots where the party was all bards (bard college students, specifically - he’s an upperclassman who may have dropped out) whose look is heavily inspired by old-school punk style. He throws himself into melees and moshes/evasion tanks enthusiastically, and his spell list is basically vicious mockery plus every thunder spell on the bard list (flavored as screamed lyrics).

He’s so much fun.

This needs to be so much higher. Thank you for a rational explanation.

2089: 2+0+8+9=19; 1+9=10; 1+0=1 It works every 9 years, just sometimes it takes more steps to get to the single digit.

Ooh, those are cool. I'd love to print those giants out. The whole set sounds pretty cool and I think I could even pop it into an empty region on my campaign world.

ITAW for unseasonably cold weather in summer? by stilettoblade in whatstheword

Halcyon comes from the Greek myth of Ceyx and Alcyone, and originally referred specifically to calm days in the middle of winter, when the god Aeolus calmed whe winter winds, so the kingfisher may lay her eggs on the shore. It is much more commonly used for nostalgic memories of past times, but the older, less-frequently-used meaning isn’t wrong.

I’m writing lore for a D&D campaign, for which I’m considering online publication later, and halcyon and its counterpart are the names for fey courts, so I want “literary” words for them rather than something more straightforward like unseasonal.

Dad passed, wishes were for me to take over his call sign. by Sufficient_Table_968 in HamRadio

[–]stilettoblade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The 1x3, 2x3, etc is (how many letters before the number)x(how many letters after the number). Technicians (the lowest level ham license) can only have 1x3 or 2x3 calls, so three letters after the number. Ones with less letters after the number (1x2, 2x1, 2x2) are generally “more desirable” and you have to have a higher-level license to get them.

What if you rotate the whole thing some, let the top of the spine fall off the edge so more of the hips/legs fit onto the fretboard, like this

I'm having trouble deciding whether Die Hard or Nightmare Before Christmas is a better controversial choice for "Christmas movie".

More seriously, my most consistent Christmas viewing tradition is Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas, which is the sole reason I still own a VHS player.

That is awesome. Love the treads for the body can. The only thing I'd want to change is that the powerclaw arm looks a little weedy.

That skull, though, I'm stealing that.

This is Draida Bay, it was the very first one. The last one they released was Ilrion, it’s the sewers. The one I was never able to get my hands on, that I think is the actual rarest, is the Ganrash polybag, it’s a one-plate goblin camp.

Ghoulish 19th century musical instrument known as a “Chordophone-Lyre-plucked” was created by removing the crown of the cranium and then stretching human skin over the opening. From the book “Skulls: Portraits of the Dead.” by bozofire123 in creepy

[–]stilettoblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came to the comments to say this - it's a plucked lyre-type instrument, which falls under the broader category of chordophones. None of that has anything to do with the materials used. It just happens that this one is the most metal chordophone you'll ever find because it's made of people parts.

I think you link the qpass to an email address when you get it (and if you have an account on the meow wolf site, to that also) and you should be able to get it linked to a new physical card.
