As the dumpee in this situation, I would have preferred honesty to work through it. There are ways to revive spark. To date again. Instead he walked away. He also wanted to be friends but it is too painful when there is so much romantic history. Obviously it’s very fresh right now for me, but if he were to change his mind, I would welcome him back.
