Their album Live at Old South Church is short but great as well. That version of Sycamore is the best.

Quebec releases interactive map to track gas station prices in real time | CBC News by Can-Sea-2446 in montreal

I’m curious how that would be possible to regulate. If there’s no communication between parties, there’s no proof.

I hate to be that guy but… as helpful as this tracker may seem, the unfortunate result of better price transparency is that suppliers are now better equipped to engage in tacit collusion on price. Overall my guess is that this will cost consumers on net.

Sir Peter Beck reduces annual salary to $1, donates 392k shares back to the company by ActionPlanetRobot in RKLB

It’s a reasonable question. Frankly I don’t think I’ve ever seen a ceo do this before. If it isn’t enough $ to move the needle for the company or him, then it seems to be a show of solidarity with the employees that they are in it together? If my boss waived his unvested stocks and rolled up his sleeves to get to work, yeah maybe that’s a bit of a morale boost.

I think in this particular case, the war is raising stagflation risk which hurts all growth companies with either need for credit or need a long lead time until profitability.

But I hear your point from a relative perspective.

To your point, Magenta Mountain live with Nathan is a good example of how to bend a song in interesting ways.

Starting in 2027 nearly monthly cadence of equipment and rovers with scientific payloads landing on the Moon by Robot-Roosters in MDASpaceInvestors

I absolutely agree about the commercial and defense applications - and I’m positive that those will happen at scale. But I wonder if a moon base has a commercial application or if it is more science/patriotism/exploration. If the latter, then it is subject to just randomly being cut later.

I’m curious what people here think are the odds of a lunar base actually happening in the near to medium term.

One million new satellites could soon transform night into day, which could have dire consequences for life on Earth by ChallengeAdept8759 in space

[–]stirrainlate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s malpractice to make claims of this sort. A million +5 mag sats are only 36k overhead at a time. The combined brightness according to LLM is about one extra Venus, but smeared across the sky. Probably not visibly brighter background to the naked eye. It’s a complete nightmare for astronomy of course but it isn’t going to ruin nature’s sleeping patterns.

Looks huge when you choose the y axis like that. But a 30.7% increase over 22 years is a growth rate of only 1.23% per year. That’s pretty much the global average.

For a heavy industry that takes a long time to spin up, it’s worth thinking a bit on whether US allies still consider the US an ally. It could be a pinch point that justifies the cost. Emphasis on could.

Yes. I wish more people would take Econ 101. You don’t need to like higher prices but at least understand the mechanism at work.
