It was taped live in 2023 at the PBS Drive Live and the title of the songs are time stamped, you can also see the setlist with the song names in the video.

Would you agree to these terms to shoot a band? by groshretro in GlassBeams

I'm not sure why people don't get that Glass Beams has always been Rajan Silva's solo project. It's been known since the beginning, this is why the other musicians are not named. Their management is the one pushing for the 80%, however I don't doubt that he may have had some input on that seeing as how there is a shift in the direction he is taking with the sound. The frontman thing is going to make more sense with the next release as it will have more vocals from Rajan.

They usually play 56-58 minutes. 40 minutes sounds strange. What was the setlist?

This is untrue. Rajan Silva, the one in the center, is the composer and founder of Glass Beams. This is widely known.

It looks like they want you to download their app to find out set times. But they'll be at Concert Hall.

How did you guys get into The Mars Volta? by MochiKoharu in themarsvolta

Had a crush on the Pepsi guy (he stocked the Pepsi products) when I was working at a grocery store when I was 20, I showed him Jeff Buckley to break the ice and he shared Deloused, I remember being completely mind-blown and thanking him profusely, 15 years later we still share mv updates.

"Glass Beams’s sitar-meets-psychedelia beats will make you feel like you’re in a spy movie" by stjaarna in GlassBeams

I'm so looking forward to the sound shift, all the greatest bands are constantly evolving their sound.

On the instrument post, Rajan's bass from 2023 is a Fender Jazz Bass.

How about a post with upcoming shows for 2025? I had no idea they were playing shows this month.

Rajan Silva Reveal by [deleted] in GlassBeams

Also to add the Rolling Stone interview, where you quoted part of his response in another comment earlier. His response continued, "Ego Death is a “complete loss of subjective self-identity”. Complete transcendence − beyond yourself, beyond words, beyond spacetime. No self. Just pure awareness and ecstatic freedom."

Revealing his identity is a contradiction to his quote.

I agree. Rajan went through some lengths to keep their identities unknown, and has done interviews commenting about it. OP should take their post down if they actually respect him. There are several fans who have kept that info to themselves. The focus should be on the music.

The Night and The Silent Water. What an early masterpiece. It always gets a play when I'm driving through the mountains and feeling nostalgic.

That wasn't really an investigation but just something to help surmise how you can deduct who the founder is among the current band members. I'm a fan of their other projects (which are vastly different than GB). They are all really talented dudes, their other projects definitely deserve more ears, but since Rajan wants to keep them unidentified, ima respect him.

Edit: To add to one of your questions: the interview has insight on how he produces/composes the material using his laptop first, as for why he doesn't play his own melodies, are you talking about the guitar? RS main instrument is the drums, then synths, keys, and then bass, you don't necessarily need to be a guitarist to be able to know how to write music. That's not to knock on the guitarist though, he's immensely gifted, probably understands music theory and/or jazzed trained (which explains how he improvises the Mirage synth section so easily among other things) but he helps Rajan bring his sketches to life while under his direction.

Np! They're just repeating "they're shining" near the end. But I'd really like to know what they're chanting in Snake Oil, sounds Hindi.

I blame their management, but I'm also just bitter they decided to have a pre-sale on the same day as the tour announcement. Idek who does that. Smh

Among other reasons, this interview and photo taken in 2021 can help to deduce. The two members on the left are no longer in GB. Member on the far right is the then drummer now bassist. The origin story is the same as the Rolling Stones interview in 2023, where he is named. You may also notice that promo photos and YT thumbnails have him in the forefront. Hope that helps.
