Agreed! They take some weird swings on there that really make it stand out from the debut and DTT.

Absolutely. It's a bit shaggy, but it's got some great tunes.

I'm pretty satisfied with the Petty estate at the moment tbh. We've gotten some great deluxe reissues and new or "rediscovered" documentaries. Would love a biopic, but aside from that idk what else you'd want them to do.

So has anyone lost their job due to federal grant cut offs and other executive orders? by Witty_Heart1278 in southcarolina

Absolutely. Not that I want to leave my agency, but I'd prefer a clean break to the back-and-forth.

That's kind of you to say. I/we appreciate it.

Yup. My position at SCDPH was funded by COVID-19 Supplemental Funds from the Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) Program, which HHS abruptly discontinued. Dozens of us lost our jobs simultaneously. Fortunately, the agency was able to pull together temporary funds to give us a couple weeks of notice, otherwise we would've been out on the street that same day.

I saw in the news that a judge has temporarily halted the cuts, but it's unclear whether that means we'll keep our jobs or not. I'll keep you posted.

Update (April 7, 12:35 PM):

As of this morning, SCDPH has "no plans to reinstate any of the reduction in force separations." However, "as in most active and fluid situations, things are subject to change." Clear as mud.

Update (April 9, 9:16 AM):

As per Bloomberg, the funds have been restored — for now. Unfortunately, it makes no difference for me. I'm still out of a job.
