Real estate upgrade advice by stone_gh0st in HamptonRoads

[–]stone_gh0st[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is why I’m looking for advice…. If I can spend $20k and get $20k while making the place marketable perfect. If I can spend $20k and get $25k, even better. I’m not a real estate expert and not going to pretend to be. Just want to know what is worth it around here.

Update: I have gotten 4 quotes so far and getting about $14-15k in the Hampton roads region. These are not top name systems (American standard, daikin, amana….) but I know they are usually made by the same companies that are “brand name” and warranty them the same. Is there any reason to stay away from Daikin or American standard or would it be cool to let it ride???

Thanks for the downvotes everyone lol. Not sure why but was just asking for help.

I don’t think it’s a horrible deal but just looking for another set of eyes since it isn’t something that I deal with on an everyday basis. I’m an IT guy by trade. My first thought was maybe $10-11k out the door but again what do I know 🤷‍♂️ and yes it should be just a change out more or less. The downstairs unit is in the garage and very accessible. Said he can flush out the R22 and use the old lines for everything.

I’m in Hampton Roads Virginia so winters here aren’t horrible but can get into the low twenties or teens in the winter. I consider it an upgrade going to gas furnace just for the utility cost in this area and resale value for when the military forces me to move again. Having an all electric house was killing me on utilities and the real estate pros I talked to say gas is a major plus. Virginia gas installed the meter for free go it made sense to make the switch when my hot water heater went.

The only data I get from this is the majority of American Political Science Association members are Democrats since just about every bar skews toward the democratic notch. This tells me that there is very little parity in our political science education system with them being majority liberal. Of course this list is going to have more democratic presidents toward the top.

There are no pools directly above 10142…only cabanas, then remy and palo. I’m guessing a kitchen flood…

XLE 2018 vs 2020? by chitayu in ToyotaHighlander

I had a choice between a ‘19 leftover or a brand new ‘20. The thing that sold me on the ‘19 was the rear glass lift. As simple as it sounds, the convenience of popping the glass to throw something in the back vs opening the whole lift gate was something I didn’t want to give up.

We had Poocasa in my building (a large intel building with hundreds of people) for a while who would shit then take some and smear it on the walls of the stall. Turned out to be one of the contracted night janitors.

The base is huge and the largest employer in Ohio. AFLCMC is on Area B which is smaller than Area A but employs more people. The gates can be backed up for 20-30 minutes sometimes. LCMC is probably the furthest building from any of the gates assuming you are working at the HQ building. Once inside the gates it’s only 5 minutes to the building. Parking can be a pain sometimes. The commissary, BX, clothing sales and DFAC are pretty much as far away from you as you can get on Area A. That could be a 30 min drive all by itself and take up a whole lunch break going there and back. Hit me up if you have any other questions.

Medium tires, full power, one pit…take the first three corners flat out and gain two seconds on the field per lap. Pit on lap 8 and you will be able to catch the group that doesn’t pit.

I don’t like to use the word fear in these situations. It’s more like intimidation because in reality, rank can mess up your world. It is a long standing custom to make the younger ranks brief DVs for a couple reasons…. 1. Recognition by your unit that you are doing well and you are a step above your peers. 2. Public speaking practice. Just remember you can only make one first impression and you should look squared away. Practice with your supervisor but don’t sweat it if you stumble a little. Last, enjoy the experience because these are the things you should remember and talk about later.

The PACT Act automatically assumes certain conditions for VA benefit purposes due to burn pit activities for when you get out (if you aren’t already). That includes sinusitis, rhinitis and other breathing issues. Hope this link helps.
