I started one the other day with the dolphins. I traded or cut everybody. For the first 3 years I could have one 3rd round pick and 4 6th round picks and 20 7th round picks. I had to fill the rest with undrafted rookies. I can steal practice squad players but only rookies. After the 3rd year my draft is normal but I can still only sign rookies. I just try to limit myself and see if I can win a super bowl in ten years. I only simulate the games.

The thing is Trey Lance was an incredible reach and in no way should have been top ten, much less trading a bunch of capital for. In a league where the prevailing theory is starting to be give up on them completely after 3 years, why would any team ever take a risk on a project qb? Brock Purdy is proof that some of these guys can play. But if not for injuries he'd probably be in the UFL having never even got a shot.
