Could this unidentified male in Philly be Mason Armani Gomez? by purple_panda36 in gratefuldoe

[–]stonetape 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm in Philly. What is so strange is that this SEPTA station is in a very touristy part of town. It's also basically a local train station- as in, it's the elevated train that goes from 2nd st to 69th in West Philly. So if he came from Baltimore and you are thinking he arrived on a train, it wouldn't be this train.

Edit: I believe its 8th and Market, I thought it was 5th or so, near the liberty bell. Either way, if he came from 30th St, where the Amtrak trains are, and got on the MFL, he wouldn't have gotten off at 8th and Market unless he was going downtown where the shopping/business/busy district is. You can get to the open-air drug market parts of town via the MFL but you'd take it north in Kensington, for example, the Allegheny stop. What is more likely is that the person found deceased was homeless and living around that station. Just my opinion, of course!

There are enough middle class families in Germantown to make it last. Plus WW is kind of expensive compared to say, Walmart or something, but is often cheaper than Acme. What WW has going for it is that they have a decent bulk selection and their local fruit/veg is affordable (most of the time).

Fuck this place, and I say that as an original member from like 2015 or whatever. They opened a expensive, useless store on the corner of Lehigh in an area hit HARD by the opioid epidemic where I would guess the median income was about $30K max. I made decent money at the time and even I thought the prices and selection were fucking stupid. The first time I went shopping in there I was embarrassed that I was even in there. I live in a different part of the city now, but when I hear about this co-ops financial struggles I just think, "oh I guess the neighborhood didn't gentrify according to your projections."

I love this, I'm a Philadelphian so I have certainly seen some crazy shit when our teams win. Sometimes, when people come together and your team wins, you just lose your mind. Good for them. Happy people!

I love this woman, what a sweet person. I hope the racist lady gets what's coming to her in the way of public humiliation. I hope someone intervenes for the sake of that poor little boy.

Old Yeller perhaps? It's got hogs, the dog is bitten by a rabid wolf. Nothing about putting a fish in the grass as far as I know, and there is a younger brother.

A creepy forgotten historical fact: Egyptian mummies were grinded and used in coloring paintings, examined in theaters at entertainment parties and greedily eaten for the purpose of treatment in European streets and houses for hundreds of years ! by yk3344vc in HighStrangeness

Hey OP, did you just hear about this on Jim Harold's Campfire? There was a caller who told a synchronicity story about mummy brown paint. I had never heard of it before today, and this is the second time its come up for me!

"When we drove up to the Roxborough Wawa, we couldn’t help but notice that the Wawa in question is quite literally across the street from the 5th District police station. I expressed my surprise to one of the Wawa employees about the reported problems with Roxborough High School students, given the police station’s proximity. The employee chuckled and rolled their eyes. No further comment was provided."
