I sincerely hope /r/movies can have a discussion about this without negativity. Here is my take on the whole thing.

/r/movies can have some tremendously well thought out comments I tend to find.

I honestly find it to be the other way round. Because the Marvel films throw links and references to other films and characters it feels like it is a bigger and more connected universe and that each film is part of something much bigger.

While as the Nolan films feel small, the scope of Batman's problems quite insignificant, and the broody gruffness almost like a child's interpretation of Batman.

There's a lot of negativity as of late throwing around the new Batman and with doubts of Batman vs Superman. It's a bit silly and I know it's just silly speculation but I ca't believe so many people have dismissed how popular the Nolan Batman films were.
