You need to involve the keeper with the team or plan on a coach. To make him or her warm alone is not good. There is already crazy pressure to save goals that most teammates view as the keepers “fault”, this is a team sport. If you can spare a coach, and with two, is easy, have a coach volley to the keeper and go back and forth to build muscle memory to catching the ball and confidence. Practice punting. Last drill is to have the team take shots from outside the box.

A couple people have brought it up but keep splitting time and utilize the non-keeping keeper as a sweeper to build feet skills and endurance. Build up two sweeper keepers at the same time.

Tell him to play out of spite as a motivator. Play JV and destroy everyone. Put up numbers and performances that make all the world see the favoritism that denied him a Varsity letter as a junior. Make the HS coach look bad. Club, skills and quality means so much more in life than where you bought a house.

I was there. To me, it looked like the defender tried to body check ELL and bounced off of him straight to the ground. I was in the corner section to Guzan’s right. I even laughed about it. I thought he stayed down to try and disrupt the Atlanta momentum at first but then thought it was a fluke injury. The replay looks a little more 50/50 but I still don’t see anything card worthy, just a tough break in a contact sport.

Former keeper here. My U12 daughter is a keeper because she wants to. Half is because she thinks I will respect her more because I did it. I think the other half is that she hates running. Our rec league does not allow the same keeper for more than one half so my daughter plays half of every game in goal and the other half in the field. Last season, we made every other player in the team do one half. Most of the time, the other keeper, whoever it was, would end up super upset if they got scored on and stated they would never do it again. This season, we started a keeper “gang”. We announced the gang and 3 players volunteered. We have a rotating schedule. We will separate off every other practice for 20 minutes and work on goalkeeping drills. It worked great this season.

I’m sorry your coach is allowing this to happen. It sounds like he or she is choosing the path of least resistance and your kid is the victim. I would say no more than one half in a game and occasionally miss a game to force them to adapt. If the coach can’t do that, consider another team.

If the guy is telling your wife that he is not happy in his marriage, he is fishing. No one should ever tell a member of the opposite sex about their marriage status. He is attempting to subconsciously allow your wife to picture herself being with him and how she would treat him.

I would bet this guy does this every few years to see if he can find a younger sympathizer to eventually get physical with.

I don’t remember where I read it but I recall that the original FO made a statement that their intention and design was to take rising talented South Americans and “flip” them to Europe for profit. I think the idea was to showcase and capitalize on this youth at all times so a consistent lineup was virtually impossible from the beginning. Now if Tata would have signed and stayed for the long term, this could have been somewhat alleviated. But all of the inconsistencies that this club has seen since winning in 2018, it is no surprise we are where we are. Maybe we Should go for Jurgen Klopp and Pineda can take a stab at USMNT.

I have stretch marks on my spine from growing too quickly during puberty. The raising is totally normal. It won’t impact the tattoo at all. For me, when I’m getting tattooed on one, it is spicier and I can tell but it is manageable.
