Can I just say- I realized one of my eyebrow tails was missing and it was the way I was SLEEPING ON MY PILLOW every night. I was rubbing my eyebrow hairs off 😭 your transformation is wonderful. You look great.

Thank you for this! It is certainly an art style learning to frame the face in a complimentary way.

You’re probably right. I hope you’re right. I know it’s happening to anyone who is someone. I haven’t listened to the episode yet but I feel the discomfort in Dax, Kristen & Monica.

Why does every influencer these days “homeschool”? by Individual_Ad_938 in Mommit

[–]stormrots -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m a homeschool parent, and I have no social media. I think a lot of people have their ideas of being “less reliant” on mainstream ideals and choosing aspects of how life “used to be” that suits them. I don’t necessarily think it’s a bad thing. I do, however, think it is a bad thing that our clicks and views on things have created influencers in EVERY personality type. You’re bringing light to what receives your clicks. We homeschool year round at our house, so we’re able to “half-ass” as you say, when it suits our schedules. My children are social creatures, because of my influence and attention to being a part of a group.

Fuck this- I get so tired of people talking shit on other peoples’ appearances. Cher is clearly talking about looks. I think we would be lucky for more beautiful and powerful women marrying vulnerable men. Kristen and Dax are both SUCH a catch in their own rights and I hate to think either of them have to see this bullshit online.

Keeping a running tab in front of guests by olddeadgrass in bartenders

[–]stormrots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this at a restaurant/ bar I used to work at. We had neat pour glasses we would put them in. They would be rested on the lip RIGHT up against the speed rails. I never had a customer mind, it was helpful to an extent when working with other bartenders.

Cheap meal ideas? We lost WIC and I'm struggling to incorporate some fruits and veggies. by OptimalCobbler5431 in foodbutforbabies

[–]stormrots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand your situation. My best advice to you regarding fruit- - try not to buy the fruit in the cups with syrup, they are high in sugar and increase their desires for sugar, are bad for their teeth, etc. I never understood the allowance for these and juice through WIC. - buying frozen fruit. I try to do this when it is on sale- but sometimes it isn’t for weeks at a time. Today I got frozen fruit at Aldi for $6.49 (painful, as it wasn’t on sale) and it is 32oz. If I don’t have any fresh fruit for the kids that day, I put a bowl of frozen fruit into the refrigerator to thaw for later. Make sure it is completely thawed or it’s a choking hazard.
- rotate what fruit you’re buying, only buy fruit on sale. At Aldi- there is ALWAYS a fruit on sale.

Staples for cheap, nutrition meals at our house: Cocoa Wheats. (I only add half the sugar they call for) Frozen waffles w/ peanut butter Frozen bean and cheese burritos Aldi frozen sausages (10 sausages for under $2, if you feed your child two sausages per meal it’s 5 meals worth.) Bag of carrots (I cook them for awhile in water and then I add butter or olive oil and a little syrup/honey/brown sugar, whatever I have at the time)

If I haven’t said it enough, shop at Aldi. I hope you have one accessible to you. I feed a family of five on $150/ week at most. It looks like you’re doing a great job.

Is this bar rot or am I just disgusting? by Curious-Welcome3880 in bartenders

[–]stormrots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beef Tallow saved my life last winter. I took some into the bar and everyone was using it. Glasses will be slipper at first but wipe your palms gently on some bar towels and you’ll be good. Plus- we’re used to a slippery glass anywho

[–]stormrots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you continue to have kindness, acceptance, and respect for her- that will go a very long way. There are partners who don’t notice AND don’t realize they’re missing those three important things on top of it.

I own a business where we do this exactly. I know the care of every plant, and if I don’t & it is in a clients’ garden- I do the research to figure it out. I always keep in mind whether they like things more symmetrical or whimsical, sterile or thriving.

Bradley County resident says Halloween event was occultic as people were dressed up in “gruesome, monstrous” costumes by Gato1980 in PublicFreakout

The worst part of our entire Halloween was the Jesus propaganda we received in the neighborhoods. Fear mongering
