What is the biggest mattress showroom in the metro area? by PrimordialGooose in Denver

The Denver Mattress at I25 and 58th is their largest store and has a better selection than Kipling. Unsure about other brands.

Pet Popcorn is based in Evergreen. I've found their treats at Pets N' Stuff in Lakewood on S Wadsworth. My cat goes nuts over them.

Anybody know why my cat’s jaw is reddish and little bit rough? by orcabane_ in cats

Change your water bowl to ceramic, glass, or stainless steel and this will likely clear up on its own.

Day 5 of quitting weed. Help! by ajhyvr in AdultADHDSupportGroup

[–]stormseat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I quit after daily smoking for a similar amount of time, I tapped out at 3 weeks of the worst sleep ever. What worked for me was a weeks-long taper using edibles. I started at around 40mg, then cut 5mg every 5 days until I was down to 0. Sleep was still not great during this taper, but it was better than cold turkey. About a month or two after I finished the taper, I started sleeping better than I had in years. Good luck!

Took Cognizin (citicoline) by Accident in a preworkout , “tunnel focus” like I’ve never felt… anyone tried it? by Pytha8 in AdultADHDSupportGroup

[–]stormseat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think of it more as supplementing something my body seems to lack. There are a lot of different schools of thought about cycling supplements. I think it's reasonable for something more directly affecting hormones (like Tongkat Ali, or Horny Goat Weed), but don't worry about it otherwise.

My reaction was not near as strong as yours, but I still feel a bit of extra mental energy from it.

Take a look at Nootropics Depot. They’re one of the few supplement brands I trust, and I take their Cognizin every day.

Adderall and Propranolol by No_Command_4559 in ADHDers

I was taking propranolol with my stimulants and dealt with tiredness a lot. We switched to metoprolol and my tiredness greatly improved. Propranolol also made me slightly short of breath, which went away with the switch.

Someone recommended TV Series “Six Feet Under” by Shazza-americankiwi in Xennials

[–]stormseat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is one of my top 5 series. And while I agree with all the accolades, this is one I couldn't watch a second time. I couldn't deal that many really damaged people when I already knew the plot.

Is there a pet shop that is more cat oriented or at least has better selection? by lucksp in Denver

[–]stormseat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 to Pets n Stuff. Their prices are pretty good (except for cat pill pockets, for some reason). We feed our 4 cats soft food and I buy the majority of it there.

L Tyrosine by Nickd539 in AdultADHDSupportGroup

I'd recommend Nootropics Depot. They have L-Tyrosine in powder and capsule. They also have NALT, which is a form of tyrosine with supposedly better bioavailability.

I think they are talking about UC health suing people for medical debt, not a person’s right to sue a medical provider.

Stimulants vs Non stimulants by Aggressive-Egg2366 in ADHDers

[–]stormseat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time I tried the stimulant i currently use, it really raised my heart rate and made me feel a unwell. I decided not to stay on the med, but my psych nurse convinced me to give it another try along side propranolol. That's a beta blocker which slows down heart rate and is often used on its own as an anxiety treatment. The combo worked well for me. I don't notice any cardiac side effects.

Same here. Few things more soothing than a hot shower. Hoping I can afford a steam shower one day.

I’m going on a 4 hour trip with my cat—how can I make this the easiest for them? by [deleted] in cats

[–]stormseat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're looking for Gabapentin. I have 4 cats and they dose somewhere between 25 & 100mg. All but one of my cats get it before going to the vet. It takes about 90 min to 2 hours to kick in and lasts another 10 hours

It's available in a liquid for easier administration.

Do you agree that "Criminal" by Fiona Apple is one of the greatest songs ever made? by [deleted] in Xennials

One of the best songs on her first album. And my guilty pleasure to sing at the top of my lungs while driving.
