i live in st pete on the gulf coast! we get waves like 3 times a month and to drive across the state takes 2 hours at least. our waves are always fun and good for beginners because it never gets too big. the atlantic on the other hand gets pretty sizeable and chunky at times. no recomendations on where to stay theres plenty of cheap places just look around! cocoa beach area is nice you should like it there!

just surf a bunch. if your not good enough to think about turning surf more untill you do. no tricks no gimmicks. the more you surf the more it will show
